I like it. He can still play and is a good player/coach on the floor.
I'd rather have him on the roster than Dudley.

If Rondo signs with us, look for AD to have a MVP year.

AD and Rondo had great chemistry in our title run. I see lots of lobs and easy dunks coming AD’s way with him and Rondo playing together .

Spacing won’t matter when the opposing team has to constantly double and triple team. All of those guys can score the rock easily.

If we intend to play tough defense, DH, AD, LBJ, Monk, Nunn is a pretty intimidating five.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

Feels great to Welcome Rondo back to the Lakers show.

What a pity we let go of Dudley who is an excellent glue guy the past 2 seasons. I will not blame him for not being able to get Schroder and Harrell checked in. When a player's ego is so big that they omit the team's interest for his own benefits, no one can change them. Schroder's agenda has never have the champion on top priority. What he looked for was big fat contract while harrell wanted playing time and did not realisze/recognize his own shortcomings. Both of them were not willing to sacrifice their own playing time and/or change their playing style for the team's success and, finally, their ego ruined team chemistry and morale.

When guys have the same goal, Dudley seems to have the charisma to sooth the problems met by getting guys in sync and gets along with guys to build great chemistry.

Rondo cannot replace the glue guy function Dudley did. He is a vocal guy to point out the problem, not the guy to unite the team as one. Don't get me wrong, Dudley is gone and our team is filled with veterans who are mature and have the same goal to win it all. James is already a glue guy as we know from past history. So, I don't think we have a big problem there. It is simply no one on this team can relieve James from this duty.

Hope we go younger with the 2 spots left unless for some high quality player not elder than 31.

Fizdale does exactly what Dudley does. I would take Fizdale over Dudley because Dudley is a waste of a roster spot. Plus if Gasol leaves and we sign DeAndre Jordan we still have 2 roster spots left which is freaking awesome.

DJ seems too redundant to Howard and nowhere near as good at this point. I guess Gasol is not comming back. I would prefer a young big but...

Be careful what you wish for. DJ was a good guy, but he is pretty washed up and a negative defensively. Fans on our end got frustrated with him because his effort is really inconsistent. He's still good as a lob threat though on offense and a decent rebounder still, so there's that.

He's just here to take the load off AD during the regular season. When things get real, DJ gets shut down.

Deandre I guess is a good insurance if Marc leaves.

If you are only signing DJ to take the load off AD in the regular season, you should have gone to some young dudes.

I am definitely not sold on DJ. Even when he was playing with his buddies in KD and Irving, he couldn't contribute much and was a negative presence. Unless the playing style really affect him that much, I don't think a change of scenery would make much goods to his performance. He is not a player play with high BBIQ and his game would not age well. I know, he may only be the 2019-2020 Mcgee on this team, but we already have Marc and Howard. We need traditional big no more. We need young legs with potential!!!!! Disappointed to this signing. Old, unable to switch and redundant to what we already have.

The positive side, I trust Vogel to at least turn DJ into a better defender.

I hope I am wrong about DJ.

DAJ is a solid pick up. All he needs to do is rebound and be a deterrent around the rim defensively. He will be a role player who picks up mainly regular season minutes , but will also be a factor in the playoffs depending on match ups. His length will give the likes of the joker a hard time.

I hope this doesn't mean Gasol is on his way out. I know a lot of people were disappointed that he wasn't 30 year old Gasol, but he still brings a lot to the team. He can pass, shoot, and is an excellent defender in the paint.

I think Frankie V is going to have these guys playing great defense. Our size is going to bother a lot of teams.

Irregardless of fit, Marc Gasol is still our best 5 outside of AD... Howard can get some moments here and there, but he's just as likely to commit a stupid foul or draw a stupid T, as he is to get that big block or rebound...
DAJ feels like one 'redemption story' too many... Or something like that... Big name free agent from yesteryear... If I was running the team DAJ, Ariza and Melo wouldn't have been signed, but I'm not, so I'll roll with it... But I just hope they're not running Marc out of town in the process.
