Im wont do this trade.

But if im the Pistons, I’d trade Killian Hayes for Shake Milton. Not primary option but its acceptable for me. Primary would be someone like Sexton or some established vet like Brogdon or Rozier.

I think Shake would compliment Cade better than Killian

Longterm, I think Killian Hayes is a winning piece. But his jumpshot still appears to be a long ways away.

In the short term, not sure if the Sixers can afford to move a dribble-pass-shoot guy like Milton for another development guy they're waiting on a jumper from. It would be amazing, though, if we had both Hayes and Springer and both of them fully developed into complete players that can dribble-shoot-pass-defend. Championships!

The NBA is starting to feel pretty cheesy with all these vets heading to either LAL or Brooklyn.

Lowkey really bad ownership, the Mavs.

Overpaid Chandler Parsons
Overpaid for DeAndre Jordan
Overpaid for KP
Almost overpaid for D12
Almost overpaid for Nerlens

If Mavs didnt won that championship with Dirk, who for me has a GOAT playoff performance, I think Mavs would have received a lot of hate with how they run their team.

I do think Doncic and his guys knew this thats why they asked to overhaul their FO.

Buford should have asked for Lowry, not Derozan. I think Spurs would have went further with Lowry than Derozan with LMA.

Why do you want this guy?

He looked bad for me both in college and his career in the league.

He’s a role player through and through, with bad 3pt shooting and average defense.

The only selling point for me is his size, mobility and decent skillset. But its not translating well on the court

There are better options for me.

Spurs were losing their F sized shotcreator. Wanted to replace him with another F sized shotcreator.

Lowry is more well-rounded than Derozan given that he can defend and he spaces the floor, but he's 6' 240. It's easier to find munchkins than it is to find 6'6" 220 pounders that can score off the dribble and drop 20+ a night.

Yeah, I don't really get Chandler Hutchinson's playstyle choices since he got to the NBA. He was a solid passer at the college level. He's been a 6% assist ballstopper through two different organizations now. Having no jumper and being a blackhole have made him among the worst offensive assets in the NBA in his time on the court. And teams aren't usually too patient with 4 year college players who fail to impress on their rookie deals.

I could be wrong, but the dynamic duo set-up only works if you have two top tier stars. But if you are building around LMA or Derozan caliber talent, you will fall short. Because both are not potent 1v1 scorers that it would be tough to build around both guys’ shotcreation.

The way for the Spurs to win with LMA is win it collectively.

Maybe a Patty Mills-Lowry lead backcourt with a reliable 1v1 scoring of LMA could get it done on offense while Spurs could have played with a frontcourt of Gay-LMA or LMA-Gasol where they can play big and small. The set-up is similar to the old Spurs squad.

I think any team building around Aldridge was dead in the water because he's a big that can't rebound, defend in space, or protect the rim. The Spurs made too many terrible choices leading up to Leonard's holdout.

I think DeRozan was the best approximation of a franchise piece they could get in return for Leonard, at the time.

It appears we have a differing opinion on Hutchison, that’s why. I don’t know, I think a 6’7 guard with a 7’+ wingspan and one of the most athletic guards in the league is intriguing. It’s a buy low situation with virtually no risk. Dude was the PG for Boise St and completely revamped his shot/game to will himself into a top 20 selection.

Of course he’s not playing well so far, that’s why he’s available for nothing.

Yeah, in terms of value you have a point. But I do think that if you want to have a shot to win with LMA, you need Lowry.

LMA is a low impact big while Lowry is like Jimmy where they got average raw numbers but makes big on court impact. That I think Lowry and LMA are not just complimentary as a duo but for the actual overall make-up for a collective team that Spurs is used to.

Spurs also should have taken a breather a season or two. They wasted the last two seasons.

Lowry lead the Raptors to a division basement finish, at 27 wins this year. I don't think he would have made any difference in San Antonio. I definitely don't think the LMA franchise player experiment was salvageable with a different running mate. LMA just wasn't that good and he was deteriorating fast. Also, Lowry was 32 at the time of the Leonard trade.

I don't think there was a win for San Antonio in whatever choice they made. But I think you choose DeRozan every time in that scenario.

Calling it now Hayes is going to be one of the big busts going that high.

Maledon was always the far superior talent/prospect from overseas (Parker’s protege kept under wraps in terms of playing time).

Watch Hayes he has NFI, that’s not good at all.

I mean Sexton is a way better player but he has the NFI syndrome to (loves to score and nothing else).
