How is it a put down in any way? Even if it is why the need to use Douche in your reply. Disgusting.
Who were your 3 admirers for using that word. I think we all want to know.

I don't know how to "and 1" nor do I care to do it but if I did that type of thing I'd be #4.

Not sure if asked/answered before, but is the wolves willing to go into the tax in a hypothetical simmons trade? seems like after vanderbilt and mclaughlin signed they have very little wiggle room

I just and oned your comment. There's a little plus one toward the top right of the post.
Do you admire the word Douche as a put down. I know a lot of people use it, but when you think about it it's kind of messed up to use feminine hygiene products as a put down.
You have your right to be wrong is my thing. Everybody has a right to be wrong. I don't get how that would hurt somebody's feelings to know I think they're wrong. Lots of people think I'm wrong about things and it doesn't hurt my feelings.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone put up such a stink over the word douche. Maybe if you embraced the douche you wouldn't have to stink.

I think the trade is shaping up to be: Beasley + Beverley + Prince + rights to Bolmaro + Picks

FOR

Simmons + Philly filler

A third team most likely, who gets some combination of Wolves players, and rewards 76ers a vet they covet (not named Beal or Dame of course).

Towns | Reid
Simmons | Vanderbilt
McDaniels | Layman
Edwards | Okogie | Nowell
Russell | McJordan

And that is your Wolves roster for at least next 2 seasons.

Well, I am not sure both Prince and Beverly are included, that is a lot of salary...

I think we can make a strong inference Bolmaro will be included... should it happen.

The question mark is Reid and level of pick compensation. Reid needs to get paid next year and I would assume we might be willing to include him to reduce the amount of picks or that a third team might value him highly and by moving him vs a pick we may avoid the LUX. I would rather roll with Reid than the unknown of pick, given it will probably be a mid pick and spend, but the team may feel differently.

I’ve always thought Reid wouldn’t be included. I think he has more value here due to our lack of front court depth. The 76ers certainly don’t need him. I also don’t think he can fetch much in return as compared to McDaniels or even Bolsmaro due to his contract situation.

I think Reid has far more value than you think (less than McDaniels, more than Bolmaro), but he would go to a third team most likely, unless Philadelphia wants him to use in a rebuild package for a star.

Jon K making the rounds. Was on the Athletics NBA pod released yesterday. Nothing really different than what he said on his own pod earlier in the week. Wolves highly interested in Simmons. Would rather do it without Simmons and/or McDaniels if possible. Simmons is going to continue to cause a mess to force his way out for Morey to consider a package like the Wolves.

Morey is in no rush. And shouldn’t be.

No other GM offered what he needed to hit the trade now button. Now he waits until the last minute to see all trades offers roll in. And as offers get pulled or refreshed or new offers enter the equation, he takes what he see as best one. Then “when” is pure speculation.

If Morey really does want assets for the subsequent trade (closer to trade deadline and hope a vet asks out) than Wolves offer is better than most give it credit. Also as pages and pages in this thread will show, what that offer is from Wolves is wide ranging. I would hope Rosas made his BAFO and is steadfast.

Rosas would be an evil genius if he could trade for Simmons and do it without Simmons.

It's pretty disgusting to use that word for anything other than what it actually is.

Problem is offers might start to decline.

KGdaBom, you seem a little hypocritical.

When someone comments on the way you post, you tell them this is who you are (and you'll keep doing it). Yet, you get triggered over a word or phrase from another and expect them to change.

No I don't expect them to change at all.

This started with Think Tank having the nerve to tell me to quit using "you have your right to be wrong" while calling that a douche move. Talk about calling out my light gray pot while his kettle was pitch black.

Or to use a Biblical quote he's pointing out the speck of dust in my eye while a plank is sticking out of his.

I know the intent of that Biblical quote is to consider your own flaws before pointing out the flaws in others. I know I have plenty of flaws. However, after giving this some serious consideration, my saying you have your right to be wrong is not one of my significant flaws.

Good. Then why did you ask me not to reply to your posts directly, then when I said I wouldn't honor that request, you acted as though I should? That your request actually had merit? That I should change?

Ultimately, unimportant, but c'mon, his assertion is accurate.

This trade I believe works for all teams.

Hou in - Nowell, Reid, Okoge, Jordan M, lotto protected 1
Out - Wood

Rockets get young players, expirings, and a future 1 for Wood

Phi in - Beasley, Wood, protected 1
Out - Simmons

76ers get Beasley and Wood, plus Layman expiring. Beasley and Curry are new backcourt which are two great shooters, Wood, Harris and Embiid in frontcourt plus a 1rst.

MN in - Simmons
Out - Beasley, Reid,Nowell, Jordan M,Layman, 2 1rsts

MN clears out some clutter and will need to add players for depth, but gets Simmons

PG - DLo, Beverly, Wright
SG - Edwards, FA, Bolmaro
SF - McDaniels, Prince
PF - Simmons, Vanderbilt
C - Towns, FA, knight

Wolves look to add a vet SG and C for depth...perhaps Gasol, Cousins, or Leonard and a guy like Patrick McCaw, Terrence Ferguson, or Jerome Robinson

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
