Won't see Krejci much this season at all with the Thunder, but should get plenty of minutes with the Blue at least with the G-league returning to a regular schedule. Biggest impact this has is that at least 1 of CBJ or Deck will get cut/traded before season starts now that we're at 16 players.

In a season where wins aren’t the priority, why not?

I would guess just because of the minutes crunch at forward. Not that Vit would have a ton of competition there but I'd wager he'll get more reps and experience playing for the Blue than he would with the main squad.

The minute crunch is real. I guess muscala is getting a lot of DNP together with favors after a while.

From the videos I have watched of Krejci, he has always struck me as more of a rather lanky 2-guard, rather than a forward. Seems to have a deceptively explosive burst of speed in him as well.
I can see him being given a decent amount of NBA game-time this season.

Will he stay with the Thunder or will he return to Europe ?

Earlier in the year it sounded as if Deck would not be back with the Thunder. The one thing on Deck is if the Thunder bought him out they might lose their trade exceptions, I think the Thunder see these as valuable pieces, and they should try to retain the trade exceptions. So I would expect a trade, where the trading team either buys him out or brings him to camp.

Here is an interesting article on Deck.

I would like to keep Deck for an entire season, and see him playing for quite a while. He is not expensive so let him play.

Tore his ACL less than a year ago, don't think they're going to rush him back. Build up his conditioning with the Blue where he can get consistent minutes.

Nothing against Vit but we have basically 11 guys that are on rookie contracts that all need developmental minutes, and if his primary position is at the 2/3 then I'm not sure where he's getting more than spot minutes ahead of Giddey/Dort/Poku/Jerome. If we give 30 minutes a game to Poku and Giddey then I'm not too concerned about us racking up wins.

That means, that Jaylen Hoard is no more part of the Thunder.

I hope this isn't a step in a slow progression of filling out the FO with Presti sycophants and that Royce's new position is truly benign. Let him talk about ketchup or spout some aphoristic homespun nonsense to appease the older fans. Just keep him out of any decision making processes because he's at a point where he doesn't know half the players on the roster.

Also no less than a month ago Royce was on the OKC Dream Team pod on a "journalistic integrity" soapbox in regard to KD and Draymond's cross table interview and how those player-to-player interviews are wrongfully alluring to fans who want the truth. Now because Royce is so honest and full of integrity he's answering directly to the organization on which he's being asked to report. Pretty cool how news media works.

Some asked about Deck. .Guess he's definitely staying for now... looks good to me (whether it's to help our young players or to improve his trade value a little bit).

He’s such a weird fit. He doesn’t speak English so he can’t be the veteran swami for the youngins. He’s a win-now depth piece ala andres nocioni. He’s not going to look good on this team. I guess try to flip him for a second rounder or part of a bigger 3-team trade next year?

I'm happy to hear that Deck will be back. He is a very good role player with strong moves, good assists and good rebounding .
He can now wear his number 14 and Josh Giddey his number 6.

Confused by Watson signing. He's 26 (27 in December) and Hall is still 20. Shouldn't that be all there is in a year where they're expecting to punt? Makes no sense and seems like a bad move.

I was never a Josh Hall fan, but I would have preferred R. Edwards or better O.da Silva or E.Williams from the Summer-League team as two way player.
And Watson is another guard. Don't understand ??????

Does the team need more forwards or centers? Watson is a knock down shooter. The Thunder have moved off their uber athletic guys for guys who have a high basketball iq. Guys who can knock down shots have real value. I think its important for the Thunder to cast a wide net. Watson fits the mold. He is the same age as Deck and Williams two of the gritty guys on this team and fits a need behind Jerome as a shooter off the bench. Every team needs a shooter off the bench.

Using a TPE for Diakite is weird though...

Waiving C.Brown Jr and adding Diakite doesn't change the sum of 18 players on our roster. There is still one player who have to be waived.

1 BAZLEY Darius
2 DECK Gabriel
3 DIAKITE Mamadi
4 DORT Luguentz
5 FAVORS Derrik
6 GIDDEY Josh
7 GILGEOUS-ALEX.Shai
8 JEROME Ty
9 KREJCI Vit
10 MALEDON Theo
11 MANN Tre
12 MUSCALA Mike
13 POKUSEVSKI Aleksej
14 ROBINSON-EARL Jeremiah
15 ROBY Isaiah
16 WATSON Paul (two way player)
17 WIGGINS Aaron (two way player)
18 WILLIAMS Kenrich

Can't imagine that we will keep Diakite. I think he is only a training-camp addition.
