Ok I saw a Twitter blurb that Lance was working out for the Pacers this week??? Any truth to that ? Or was it just a joke because Hard knocks is covering the Colts ?

No. It’s from Evan Massey, a notoriously bad reporter who’s reporting shows a complete lack of CBA and legal knowledge of the NBA.

The reason I say he shows a complete lack of CBA and legal knowledge is this:
Applying for the NBA’s Disabled Player Exception is the first step to adding a new player to help replace Sumner.
This makes no sense. The DPE is less than what the vet minimum salary for Lance or Wes would be, and that we would already be able to sign them to. If we want to sign one, we just waive Kelan, sign them, and we’re done. Sumner and his DPE have absolutely no connection, good or bad, to this possibility.

Thanks I thought it was strange and not sure Carlisle or players would want a Lance distraction! I think they can find better but will probably leave spot open and keep Martin.

Sixers fan here. I'm wondering if Pacers fans think the team would be interested in a Ben Simmons for Brogdon + Warren trade package?

who knows what the team wants but I'd prefer to trade Sabonis to a 3rd team and have them send you something you want so you'd send Simmons here. I see him playing 4 for us and not 1 so I don't see trading a 1 to get him. this has been discussed to death on the trade forum.

I think the reasons Philly would want to move on from him will be the same reasons other teams might not want him. He's awfully expensive for a player who refused to participate on the offensive end of the floor in the playoffs. Why trade for that? Plus, he seems to be a bit spoiled.

Honest question. Has Massey ever been right on anything? Or is he like many others who just come up with thoughts and toss them out there?

don't have a clue but suspect we're a lot less interested in moving Lamb with Warren and Sumner out.Tom White wrote:Wizop wrote: ---Tweet snipped for brevity---

He’s a “broken clock is right twice a day” kind of guy. He puts out new “reports” and rumors every day, so eventually, one of them hits. His only “right” reports in the last season or two were really clear “this deal makes too much sense not to happen” kind of things, but even then, he reported a bunch of other assets involved that never were.
He’s really bad. He’s not trusted. None of the beat writers know who he is. He’s got no credibility.

I would take Ben for Brogdon+Warren… we need some changes... this team is not good enough for PO

Re: 2021 Free Agency & Off-season
I’m in the Simmons is a too expensive vs. value received camp. A bad investment unless a team has superstars to cover for his inability to score. Also don’t like him calling the shots on when he will report to a team. Granted I think the 76ers and him definitely need a divorce. He’s just not the superstar I could respect and feel like he’s the caliber of high paid stars like Booker, Beal, LaVine, or Morant.

Re: 2021 Free Agency & Off-season
as I write this there is no presser video online. however, Boyle and Boylan have been online chatting and doing interviews. not much unexpected although Lamb did say he feels 100%. Carlisle said both Duarte and Jackson expected to contribute. Turner confirmed good impression of Jackson.
