Wall going back to DC would be pretty wild.

He is still extremely well liked in DC, so I think from a city/team perspective it would be ok.

I think there's bad blood with ownership irrc stemming from a video of John Wall apparently throwing gang signs that he had to publicly apologize for (seems silly but idk)

I don't think so. If you look at the Houston team they are probably the best Simmons fit in the league.
- They have a bunch of stretch 5s - Theis, Wood, Sengun (potential)
- They have two small scoring guards in KPJ and Green that they want to start, which means they likely need a non-guard playmaker to make it work
- They are wanting core players under 26
- They owe some FRPs coming up and want to rebuild quickly

So, if you have Houston not including any of those pieces for Simmons, are you saying that Philly would be dealing Simmons for Wall, straight up? I guess Tate or Martin could be included as incentive, but, I think you’re missing any sort of reasoning for Philly to consider this.

Yeah, I already think a wall for Ben backbone is not a particularly good one, but definitely can't add Curry. Two minimums I believe hit the matching requirements, or could even do a Mike Scott S&T just for Houston to cut

I have a trade for Simmons at like 50/50 now for Minny and a Towns trade at 15/85 probably. If the details do include some wrongdoing by Rosas I can’t imagine Towns is going to hold it against the org too much.

I agree it shouldn't be a team with serious playoff aspirations - SAC/MEM/OKC are the teams to kinda come to mind for me (or have been suggested).

Personally I have the worst case notably worse than that. Korver is bigtime underrated imo.

Fair, I mean I’m a huge Korver guy but he couldn’t guard anyone. He was just elite using screens and finding space and quick 3s on people. Even if Klay loses athleticism I feel like he can still do that.
