Okay this is not as bad, he was fired for banging the secretary and not some hack Ben Simmons trade.

Lets hope new GM Sachin is worth the hype.

Gersson Rosas affair has been confirmed by WCCO

Speculating may be gross, but obvious is obvious.

The point is to shut down speculation when there is not hard evidence. Now the evidence is clearer, so it is more acceptable to comment (though I would encourage people to focus more on the implications than Rosas cratering his career and marriage).

For what it is worth, I kind of thought the rumour was possible, just wanted to be careful to not drag someone innocent on the forum.

He is a guy that couldn't read tea leaves that this was sexual harassment related. His guess...

"Minnesota ownership wasn’t happy with management’s work towards appeasing Karl-Anthony Towns, leading to the firing of Gersson Rosas. Evidently, KAT was fond of Rosas, leading to the trade request."

EHHHH...WRONG.

So, he is full of it.

Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns has privately requested a trade from Minnesota, sources say

The guy looks like a clown.....

Lmao.

It’s pretty clear why Rosas was fired and none of it has anything to do with bball.

I think it was obvious it was sexual harassment...Or worse. This just wouldn't happen otherwise. It had to be something to warrant swift termination, something that probably opened the team to liability. No matter what it was it wasn't good and it could have only been a few things, sexual harassment probably being the least onerous and most likely. I think it is only natural to make this prediction/speculation, I don't think anyone painted it as absolute.

What kind of bothers me is posting profiles of the supposed assistant. Even if true, she isn't a public figure, if accusations are wrong it is defamation of character.

I hope the affair stuff isn't true. From all accounts outside of the recent news of "toxic culture" Rosas has been said to be a very kind/generous guy. He also has a huge reputation for being a family man. If that is true and he screwed up here with this relationship, that is extremely sad. He worked his way up, had a great story and rep, and all of that gone for a tryst? His family who I am sure he loves may be broken now too, really sad stuff. Dude is probably a mess, he probably didn't see this coming when he took the job. It really does feel like this is place is cursed (though this is totally on him if this is true, just crazy that he would do this if he really was on the straight and narrow beforehand).

Glen can really pick em.

Pivoting back to basketball, I'm not sure much has changed in terms of the overall philosophy. Gupta has been Rosas's right hand man and I'm sure has had a lot of input into the moves that we've been making and the direction the team is going toward. I think the moves he makes or doesn't make would be in line with what would Rosas would do if he were still here. He's also, by all accounts, a highly touted GM prospect around the league (runner up to Sacramento's GM position) and if he can rectify the toxic work culture that has apparently been permeating, that will already give him a leg up on his new job, perception-wise.

I think the "toxic culture" stuff is just a catch-all to add to the justification for his termination. I don't think the office environment was actually bad in relative terms. You are always going to have detractors, people who don't like you for any number of reasons and those people are not above being petty or embellishing largely because they are not necessarily self-aware and have an inflated sense of self-worth.

Alright, yea I'm caught up on info. It all makes a lot more sense. So again, the wolves have hit a disaster, again they sadly look like an unprofessional joke. That said, I believed in the direction Rosas was taking this team. My best hope is that Gupta shares the same vision and he can move this thing forward without the drama. This is a big stain on the team, when the guy at the top has these kinds of issues it really hurts credibility.

Hopefully, the team can still rally together, buy-in, and make this a positive season. I sincerely hope we are behind this in 6 months and enjoying one of the most exciting seasons we have had in years. This can easily go the other way and lead to a further downward spiral, hate to see it but at this point that is just kind of life for the wolves.

Bauer, her husband Joe, and sons JJ (10), Nolan (8) and Anders (4), reside in Edina, Minn.

Damn she’s married and has kids too.
