Not to be a Mosley stan already, but obviously if he was concerned about winning, he wouldn't have closed with that lineup lol. That's a spot where you give those guys an opportunity to not be total garbage, but they proved to be total garbage, so no hard feelings when it's time to make the cuts.

Personally, I would have left actual players in the game to try winning, just for the heck of it. But I'm not bothered by it.

Great game. So happy the team is back.

A few quick takeaways:
- Mo looks like he should after a healthy offseason. He was good tonight and I'm excited for him this season. Happy to see his improved conditioning.
- RJ is such a nice complimentary player. He looks to have more control of his speed.
- Suggs playing off Markelle is what's going to elevate this team. They are the future backcourt.
- I really enjoy Frantz's game. When he gets comfortable, I expect his assertiveness to increase and with the right teammates, it's going to be beautiful.
- E'twaun is going to be the vet everyone hates, lol.
- Really REALLY enjoyed the team defense tonight. I see the beginnings of them truly playing on a string as a unit. Get the other 3 healthy guys back, ohhh $h!t.
- Also enjoyed the unselfishness and passing. I wish we had a bit more plays ran, but we had some good ball-movement opportunities.

Not only an I happy to see a different team, Im happy to see a different playing style. No more conservative defense and more attacking mismatches and ball movement. Im excited for this team, good or bad.

The Celtics broadcast continues to be among the most unlistenable in the entire league. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, they decided to add scalabrine to it a couple years back who may be the worst of all.

Im going to try and get through the rest of the game on mute.

So one preseason game and hottakes are already out? damn. Two years ago we openend preseason with Gordon 25 points and "finally allstar,breakout " comments, Bamba was out there having double doubles and ofc "finally Gobert "takes were on full swing...

With same logic:
Suns are now worst nba team by that standards i guess. And Curry will now be sidekick for Jordan Poole.

As far as some basketball nitpick takeaways :
Suggs will need to adjust ballhandling to NBA as he should know every guard in nba has quick hands and loose and high dribble won't work.
Wagner can't overcommit on stripping people the ball away from, he will get in foul trouble and guys will bounce off him ( Tatum did twice).

I'm actually intrigued what Celtics can do this year. On paper they have s*** loud of talent but lack high quality bigs. Their W- L prediction can go from 42 to 52 games easly.

Suggs could've been better offensively but i liked what i saw from him defensively.....Bamba looked good, better than carter imo...Cole played a very solid game....mo wagner played well and stretched the floor....franz also didn't have a great game offensively but he played with a lot of energy.....harris hit some shots for once and RJ played well....it's obvious we still have a lot to work on offensively at times i could see some confusion....i would've appreciated if coach would've left that second unit in to finish the game for playing so well...let the g-leaguers piss the game away....did miss chuma out there though

My brain needs at least 10-15 games of sample size to come out with any conclusions about current roster. But given that Fultz and Isaac won't play probably any of those games, evaluation of season will be harder than usual.
In general preseason, epsecially in fashion Nets, Suns, Jazz ,76ers and Lakers treated first game, has no meaning nor value, it's just bunch of fringe nba players playing against each other.

Hopefully last 2 preseason games should be "real" lineups on teams playing last tests before real thing.

As for Orlando, we will probably treat whole season as some sort of test drive. No expetations whatsoever.

As soon as the 3rd string guys got put in, I turned off. The team played well as a whole, but it's a small sample size and I need to see more before I make any judgement.

Yes. What I heard loudest was that Franz is a 3pt shooter who will have a long career. That's what we really need - a legit floor spreading threat. Franz' scouting report doesn't call him that specifically, so I'm pleased that he might be a long, mobile defender who can spread the floor.
