The maker of those masks puts a disclaimer on there to prevent people like you from suing them when you get COVID.

The issue of people littering is really unrelated to mask wearing. I mean that's embarrassing.

Many recycle companies sell their trash to third world countries in Asia. That is how most trash ends up in the ocean.

Anyway, there wont be any masks in the ocean from me because I dont wear them.

So what about the recent study out of bangladesh? High quality study (randomized control trial), massive population (over 300 000 enrolled in study), significant reduction in covid cases even without perfect use (around 10%)

And where do you get your info about the made up harms in wearing masks?

Ah yes the old this doesn't prevent everything so we should do nothing argument. Definitely not reductive or pointless in any way. This is sure to convince people of your position.

When I play hockey sometimes I might still get a concussion if I wear a helmet so I definitely shouldn't bother. Or sometimes in a car accident I still suffer injuries even with my seat belt engaged and the air bags deploy. I should never wear my belt and should disable all airbags. When I'm in extreme cold sometimes I still get frostbite even with quality gloves, I should stop wear any.

It's absurd. We know masks greatly reduce transmission. We should wear them when appropriate. This isn't that hard and it shouldn't have gotten political.

yea then wear a hazmat suit. It protects 100 percent. Masks do not. Masks dont even work very well and often do more harm than good, not to mention polluting the earth.

Hazmat suit is too extreme? Oh is that where the line is? Says who? Isnt it about preventing covid?

Just proof no point discussing it with this guy. Ignore the evidence masks reduce transmission, make up unfounded claims about harms, draw ridiculous comparisons

If you read the wrong information and listen to the wrong people, this is where you end up. Everything is so black and white with then the anti-mask, anti-vax crowd. If it doesn’t work 100% therefore it doesn’t work. Or it’s a conspiracy. I have no clue how most of these people have made it this far in life.

LA about to put In a similar vaccine mandate for indoor restaurants bars and theaters. Doesn’t say in the article I read if arenas are effected but I would assume so. How does this effect the Lakers and clippers? Are they fully vaccinated

Los Angeles vaccine mandate

Post#1086 » by hoosierdaddy34 » Wed Oct 6, 2021 8:10 pm

The Los Angeles city council just voted for a vaccine mandate for Malls, Bars, Restaurants, Gyms, Arenas and Theaters. This will include both the Lakers and Clipper games including players. There also does not appear to be an exemption for visiting players although that is not confirmed at this point.

Both the Lakers and Clippers are expected to be 100% vaccinated by the start of the season. So this ruling may only effect players on visiting teams.

or you can look at my state where most people don't wear masks (except in Dallas county and in Austin where most people do) and the state is doing just fine. The numbers have actually gone down in Texas.

or look at Sweden, not many mask wearing covid cult members there either

there are other examples as well

Ignore high quality data, provide no actual data of your own. Got it.

btw, this study simply measures the effect of encouraging people to wear masks in a particular society/culture rather than the direct effect of masks themselves. just fyi fwiw

A random doctor on twitter quoting an article that provides little in terms of data. This says everything about your ability to critically analyze information

Gonna power through today's denier getting mollywhopped by facts, and go back to the union issue

Michele Roberts is saying the players union has not agreed to reduced pay for unvaccinated players forced to miss games.

Now THAT's what I expected from the union

Ok? That's a completely arbitrary and nonsensical comparison to make. Look at countries that are similar in climate, population density, and culture. You're really bringing down the level of discussion in this thread.
