Zion is amazing, but I'm more worried about not his injuries per se, but about him refusing to get a nutritionist and a trainer different than his family. He runs circles around Bum Simmons of course, but if he is another player that is going to be around a bunch of "yes man" all the time then he will never reach his potential.

You're right, he is. You get a prize too for your opinion that you feel is an absolute on this subject. I mean...Despite the fact that you're wrong.

My man's gotta get traded to a California team. East Coast and Southern food is too dangerous for him, He needs some damn Kale.

Zion is going to have a sad ending, 4-5 years left at this play style. Physics don’t care

He’s a natural 270 (250 in high school plus 20 for maturity). His weight and mass distribution is insane. Gained 100 pounds in two years in high school naturally isn’t normal.

Already believe he has a genetic abnormality (Dads a linebacker and his mum is even more physically dom) dom/recessive genes no ways around it. Years from now they’ll be an official doctors report on it stating it so.

Can only do one of two things:

1. Play the finesse game ala Griffin

2. Or double down keep it at 270 and play like a 6”6” Shaq that moves like MJ with post centric offense. That would require a Myles Turner as rim protection. He’s unstoppable at the rim and has absurd efficiency anyway. So park the Mack truck with F1 handling there. No more high flying acrobatics but it’s auto offense all day.

No male elite sportsmen has ever played at their high school weight, posters on the main board are very ignorant of weight/mass distribution.

Zion is literally the GOAT basketball athlete as a teenager it’s obscene how a kid that was 250+, 6”6”, bear strength with zero professional weight training, highest torque ever recorded, speed, contortion that would make a figure skater envious, 40+ inch vert, dunk from the free throw line with ease... that was him as an 18 yr old. Would literally body any goat level player as an 18 yr old. Zion is very much one of one.
Everyone else has to put in the wrench time, he’s built entirely different.

Exhibit A.

2:37 would take out every kid under the sun. Torque + leverage = game over. His body mechanics are incredible look at the leg twist/whip. No wonder he isn’t going to last. Zion skipped a human evolution line and the human body just isn’t cut out for this.

Exhibit B.

Exhibit C.

See the noticeable differences? Zion is a 6”6” Shaq + MJ but only if that 18 yr old kid was fully grown up at 250 pounds! He’s the king of the manchilds. Both of them are lean (duh they are teenagers) the opposite is true for Zion.

Bears that can fly aren’t meant to last. He’ll be 300+ pounds once his career is over, haven’t seen anything like it.

It should really be zero weight training and high high intensity cardio workouts (boxing, swimming, running) strict diet with no carbs and even then he’d probably be too big lol. I wouldn’t put him near a dumbbell at all. Dude was brolic or like some anime character with zero training time lol

When will we see Ben Simmons in a Sixers uniform? At least in a practice uniform?

Tomjas there has never been a teenager like Zion, he’s the biggest abnormality in sports today.

He literally ragdolled Giannis at 280+ which some think he wasn’t even match fit or at his athletic best. Seen him once again ragdolled two players with both hanging onto the ball trying to outmuscle him vs the Lakers.

The scariest part is he won’t stop naturally growing for years.

It’s not unlucky it’s simply a physics problem.

Even he never picked up a dumbbell he’d be a 270 man child freak athlete.

I would ask how we could possibly expect him to play when he didn't fly out with the team but I guess he has a history of just randomly showing up unannounced

Oh ok, and here I thought Ben had a change of attitude. Whatever, it's cool to miss work when you don't feel like going.

"I don't know if he can face the team or the fans after everything that happened last year," one source close to the situation puts it.

He has a high BF% right now, yes I'm sure he can't get down to a certain number, like 250lbs for example. But he can absolutely reduce his BF% while not gaining muscle, in fact that's the good news here, it's not like he needs more strength, he can even afford to lose a little bit of muscle, so it doesn't take some amazing plan to reduce his weight and having to worry about losing muscle that can happen when in a caloric deficit. All he has to do is prioritize the most nutrient dense food he can find (check ANDI score for example), so that he can satisfy hunger much easily with the same or less amount of calories. I honestly think cardio and all this stuff is secondary, just because he already burns a high amount of calories playing games and training in general, the diet is always the biggest issue in a non-sedendary person like he is.
This doesn't mean it's easy to do obviously, as a borderline ex-obese and now just a bit overweight man myself, there is a huge difference in how easy it is for one person compared to other to gain or lose weight, most likely he has really high hunger or slower metabolism.
