Please, no more jokes on Ben's behalf.

What if this all blows over... :o

You'd have no reason to post here anymore :o

No surprise there. Thybulle is incapable of being offensive.

The players here have decided they are going to try and shut down Simmons questions by not answering as much as possible.

Does Simmons sit out home games to avoid being booed is my question.

I'll believe he's playing a game for us once the team announces he's going to play.

Serious question: what percentage of Philly fans will actually boo Ben if he has the balls to play at home after all of this?
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

90% of the home crowd will once he shows his face. It's pretty stupid, but to be expected at this point.

I don't think that many people will boo him constantly but there will be very little patience for him passing up open shots and so on.

Like you I'm still dubious that he's actually going to play versus just figuring out some way to get out of it.

They are all trying the minimalist approach, which given how the media, fans and Simmons himself can get themselves up in a tizzy so easily makes sense, awesome if one is a fan of awkward silences, mumbled responses and vacant stares and lookaways, lol. This is like crazy dysfunctional family stuff on a mediocre sitcom.

Ben's team has screwed this up like 1,000 different times but you figure if they were smart they would have him do some sort of short video with a prepared statement that puts him in a positive light and ESPN and so on can run with. Otherwise the first time he talks is going to be like an awkward press conference with Howard Eskin and so on asking him all these questions that he won't answer.

I think they'll boo him when it doesn't matter and won't boo him when it does. If he rips the ball from someone hands to start a fast break, no one is going to boo him. If there's 16 seconds left in a tied game, they're not going to boo him. If his name is called by the announcer with 4 minutes left in the first quarter against Charlotte, they'll boo.

He's going to need to have a contrite message before his first game if he wants to avoid boos. It honestly might be too late since it looks like he's just here to collect his paycheck. I think the boos will be up front however. As soon as he plays well, everyone will get over it, but the beginning will be brutal.

He's going to get Dan Lambert heat and he deserves every bit of it.

He should just go full Marshawn Lynch mode. "I'm here to win a Championship" and just keep repeating it over and over again.

You misunderstood me (or your reading comprehension is poor). I’m suggesting a way out from getting his fee-fees hurt due to all the booing.

I’d actually respect him more if he said nothing and got booed relentlessly.

glad that you are dropping the pretense of not being a Ben fan only.
