Who is the guy who tweeted?

He's now saying Morey is on the clock to make a trade happen. Seems like he's completely unhelpful to the situation.

Just let Simmons chill in the background and let Morey wait for a trade now. This is the path. Let it happen.

Morey's strategy cannot be judged until the trade is made or not.

It really depends on who we get in the end.

If we end up with me and my cat in a trade then this is obviously stupid as ****. If we end up with a Brogdon level guy (assuming that was the current or near draft time "best" offer)...then still not the end of the world. If we get a young prospect worth a damn and some picks...then its worth it. If come december, Luka asks out and only wishes to play with his BFF Tobi thanks to Bobi..then Morey is a god.

Can't judge it until then really. I will say not sure how they expect his "value" to get any better if his team keeps leaking out more bad news and he stays not wanting to play...hell even if he does play...I don't see it rising much unless he does the impossible and actually tries..but then...do you still want to trade him lol. Thats why I think this gets to that Dec 15th area and suddenly a guy who we could get now enters the difference maker tier and just so happens to come with a guy who just signed....just by chance yknow. Again I'd get the best ballhandler who can shoot rn and move on already....but unless the team falls apart its not that big of a deal yet. But if after all of this we end up with Poop anyway...then yeah Morey needs to touch grass.

Simmons, Gudaitis, and Mitrovic to the Kings for....

Ahh. Wishful thinking.

I think Embiid is the key here. If they lose 2 or 3 in a row and he starts saying something, Ben will be on the first train outta here

With Hinkie teaching Embiid the ways of the craft over two years while he was injured and they watched games together, I’d say Embiid is totally onboard with Morey’s strategy here.

Embiid’s comments have been less than helpful so he was obviously a bad student

Dork Elvis is what Simmons (Bill) would always call him.

Ben Simmons will single handedly end the player empowerment era with this failed power play attempt. Owners and fans of teams around the league will rejoice that this reign of tyranny will end. The new CBA is about to ef the players big time.

Did he say he had a mental health problem?

I saw a tweet that he wasn't mentally ready but that's not a mental health problem

I never said he had a mental health problem either (although he most definitely does). I said he's pulling the mental health card. Meaning that he's using it as a crutch to get out of playing while still getting paid which is complete BS. I think you're missing the bigger picture here by attempting to clown me on what I wrote. Please....Don't try and dissect my post down to absolutes and how YOU interpret them. I think anyone with half a brain understood my meaning with that. What exactly does "I'm not mentally ready" even mean? Come Monday morning when I have to go back to work after a weekend off, I'm not mentally ready either all the time, but would that excuse fly in my world? NO! The point of all this is that what he is doing is complete BS on his part. So ok......He's not mentally ready...Is that better? My mistake!

I only read a tweet that said he wasn't mentally ready, never saw one that said he was mentally soft

Like most things that get ruined...it's usually the result of one idiot overstepping the boundary and getting too greedy.

What’s comical to me is he’s trying to make Philadelphia out the bad guy when the whole world saw his meltdown in the Atlanta series last year. He’s clearly not thinking clearly.

Eskin being Eskin, the jokes that is never funny in the way he intends.

Morey talking about an impact player is definitely forehand spin, he can define that term anyway he liked when the time comes.

Looking around the league last night on TV, boxscores and of course the trade machine, what works, might be possible.

Dame and Beal seem insistent on staying where they are, so ruling them out, same with Lavine.

Team needs are PG/SF, with shooting, shot creation and defense in some combination.

Sexton - would be a lovely sixth man, but as a starter he is just toooo small, and I am a pretty big Sexton fan. In a Simmons trade elsewhere, maybe Sexton becomes your target in a second trade or three way? I don't see a fit otherwise.

Spurs collection of guys like Murray, White, Johnson and Vassal - they aren't giving them all, and while a lot of nice players, they don't seem to track with the Sixer's needs/desires. I do consider the Spurs the backup package if Morey ever gets to the point of simply needing to move Simmons for a highly serviceable return.

Toronto - Anunoboy would be a huge upgrade on Danny Green, might make Thybulle available, provides that large wing D and 3 at a high level with possibly more to give. The entire team had a rough night yesterday, seemed to be pressing. Anunoboy and Van Fleet fits a lot of needs, if they are ever made available together. Not a perfect fit as neither is a true creator, but would leave you a second trade away from something good. Aninuboy and Dragic just isn't enough.

CJ McCollum plus a young wing and how many draft picks? That is the question, how much is his being significantly older and heading towards a possibly injury prone part of his career worth in draft picks. McCollum is not a superstar, but is an impact player, still there has to be an offset for age in additional compensation.

Kings are going small this year. It won't go well for long. Hield and Bagley are incredibly available, but can you get Tyrese Hallburton to center that package. Davion Mitchell is not nearly enough, and Fox is untouchable.

Minnesota, just no. DLo had weak +/- last night as usual compared to his teammates and has never been one of those great chemistry guys either. Unless some third team really wants him, I just don't see anything there. They aren't trading Edwards. The Spurs deal would be better.

A lot of other teams just don't match up with contracts, guys unable to be traded due to extensions, etc. The Hawks will have a million moveable pieces by December, but they are the one team I don't trade Simmons to for fear he becomes their Draymond and unleashes death lineups all over the place.

Surprise team? New Orleans, he seems a terrible fit there, but they are making lots of terrible moves, so who knows.

Anything missing?
