I can say one thing. I'm not too happy I drafted Aldridge in my dynasty league has started him in a spot last night. Waste. Very deep league so not many options in a draft with 16 teams and 8 keepers, but still.

But good job on jumping out to first place! Tonight after everyone has stats are when things will start to move. My guess watching you draft is blocks and FT will be your most challenging.

Of course you are ahead of me in blocks right now (and FT%) but I have 4 bigs going tonight.

My team will struggle with ft and blks for sure. I'd definitely have a different strategy next time..

In any case, it will be fun to see how to improve over the season.

Yeah Aldridge looked awful

Thank you Danny Green for the big fat zeros across the board for his stat line on opening night.

If Dirk had have played his guys he'd be leading today. Huge day for his team.

He didn't put his guys in his lineup?

Man, I had two waiver claims...Will Barton and Danny Green were my top two and got them.

I noticed the waivers went through earlier than I thought and I had one spot open so I put in Barton. Glad I left Green on the bench.

Wait he did play his guys. He left NAW on the bench who did pretty well but his main guys did well. Towns, Vucevic, and Ja were huge. Murray good too...stats don't look great, but 4 steals is huge.

What's crazy is he got 12 steals and also left 10 on his bench. The steals leader has 15.

I didn’t think he’d rebound like he has, been a nice surprise though!

Man, part of my strategy was to accept some ugly FG% to go hard after blocks and steals. While it worked out, I would have never thought it was possible to be in this big a FG%. Figured I'd be jostling around in the bottom 5 in that category but instead I have a fantasy team shooting under 40%! It's such a wild season for how many players started this season cold. JJJ and D'Angelo still under 40% (figured they'd be around 45%). My top 2 picks (Tatum and Shai) at 40%. KPJ I basically have to sit at this point. Then random guys like Saddiq Bey just been killing me (I'm sure anyone who has a Detroit player feels the same!).

I wanted to be normal bad, not all-time worst shooting fantasy team ever! At one point in the season I was shooting 31% on FG.

Anyone else have a cute strategy blow up in their face this season?

Yeah seems like most years the top of the FG% cat is somewhere 48% or higher, but this year if your team is at 46.5% you're doing okay.

I imagine things will improve, especially with guys like Tatum and Shai. I took Tatum in one league even though I didn't really want to.

If you are good in steals and assists or the cats the low FG% guys have, you could offer up one to a team with a solid FG% who needs help in those areas. I haven't looked at the #s of teams to know where people are there in a bit. I think I am really low in FT% in one league, I think this one, which is kind of rare for me, but I think I intentionally drafted at ton of bigs.
