Sengun just knows how to play. He is also better defensively than people gave him credit for. Yeah, he won't be good defending in space but he is good enough positionally to be disruptive. He is not Enes Kanter defensively. He is a serviceable defender, at the very least (and probably better than that).

Sengun and Green will be a problem in 4-5 years. Add Garuba and a few high lottery picks of upcoming 2 years, and it will be hard to screw up that teams future.

I wish my Hornets had drafted Sengun. The theme of the draft was going for broke and picking high upside players. But young players with skills and professional experience aren't finished products either. Just because players already looked skilled and ready to contribute doesn't mean that they're tapped out.

Kai Jones for example is really intelligent, athletic, and hard working. So I'm rooting for him, but I don't think he'll ever have the feel for the game that Sengun has. It's the difference between busting out of the league and being a starter for a decade plus, and it's usually something you either have or you don't.

It's really a shame that Sengun doesn't have more plays run through him. He would be such a great offensive hub.

I think it'll happen eventually, still just getting his feet wet. Also wish they didn't sign Thies just because Sengun looks ready for minutes. Hopefully down the stretch EG, Thies and House all find new homes on better teams so the young guys can just run wild and they can see what they've got there

also josh giddey - wow. there were a few moments it looked like he was toying with All-D team members danny green and embiid at the same time. he didn't panic at all with embiid shading him. he's also definitely quicker than i thought.

The big thing that jumped out to me when watching Giddey play in Australia is that he had great balance even at 18 playing against pros. He's always under control and playing at his own speed. That allows him to make plays off the dribble even if he isn't the most athletic guy out there. It also helps him finish at the rim in a variety of ways.

Once he fills out his body he could be a handful orchestrating an offense.

Its been a few game, hopefully it changes soon. I mean even Carlisle didnt know what he had in Doncic at first, remember when they started him ''as PF'' at first. Rubio was another guy who was so impactful from the get go, but legendary coach Adelman started Ridnour still for a couple of weeks before realized whats up.
Not Comparing Sengun to those, just saying, even great coaches are hesitant with Rookies most of the time, as long as they arent George Karl, who seriously hated to play any rookie, it will all be fine.

I really like Sengun, but he's been extremely foul and turnover prone. He leads the league in fouls despite only playing 18.7 MPG and is averaging 3.3 TO. He's still figuring out the speed of the NBA game. I'm sure he'll figure it out quickly and his minutes will go up.

Rockets are going to be terrible but i don't think they want to admit it yet. Once they figure this out, Sengun is gonna get a lot more minutes.

If Mobley isn't called up to Team USA this summer everyone involved needs to be fired. We are struggling for big man talent and he's the best to come around since Anthony Davis.

Amazing defense by Mobley, but not sure what Trae was thinking driving in to the heart of a zone D with a pair of 7 footers waiting for him under the basket. The easy play once Markennen committed was #20 Collins in the corner? If you trust he's a 40% 3pt shooter (not 33% he's currently averaging) that's the play.

Maybe have #10 Dieng set a screen for #12 Hunter?

Mobley has the physical talents to stay in front of guards while also having the footwork and angles down like a 10 year vet. He is going to be a freak defender for years and years.

Evan Mobley leads the league in contested shots per game and it's not even close.

It helps that he's averaging 35.3 mpg and commits just 2.3 fouls per game.

Mobley is the best rookie. May not get rookie of the year, but man he is the most ready of any of the big names that I have seen. Looks like he has a 10 ft wingspan wow!

Hopefully we'll see soon enough, but I'd be banking on all-around production with Cade. If it turns out he's actually great in some area (say as a go to scorer, or creating for others, or *gasp* Luka 2.0) that'd be a bonus.

This draft is looking stacked already. Green, Mobley, Barnes, Giddey, Mitchell all look like they will be great players. Cunningham has yet to even debut.
