It looks like Slenderman is playing good defence against Trae Young.

Jokes aside, I think only players like Kawhi, Lebron and Giannis will be able to score against him effectively, maybe Steph as well.

You need to have strength, length (being tall, arm reach) and speed to score against this guy.

plus you know there's going to be some late bloomers too. it is too early to say any of the players you listed will pan out, though it'd be great for the league if they do.

It’s still only a few games into the season so I think it’s still too early to claim one ring or another.

But the Mobley talent has just been beyond obvious for a very long time. Many of us on the draft board have been pumping this kid up for a long time. Some were saying he was looking like another Duncan, myself was saying he was pretty much the ideal big prospect in today’s NBA. If you were to create a perfect big man prospect in today’s NBA, it would pretty much be Mobley.

Not surprising at all he has hit the ground running.

Next draft looks great as well and some of these lottery teams from 21 are gonna hit big there as well.

For sure, I was always giving him Davis type potential. Glad to see his skillset has been carrying over pretty smoothly.

Eh, I’m a big Mobley guy but Trae beats him here and forces both help defenders to collapse, and then makes the terrible decision to jump into a layup against three bigs rather than dump the ball to either of his wide open shooters in the corners. Mobley’s perimeter technique looks impressive here but this play should’ve ended in an open corner 3 by a 40%+ shooter (or a swing pass). Collins in particular is right in Trae’s line of vision and in perfect position to fire a shot, and his defender had 100% committed fully and was already in the lane before Trae leaves his feet.

Did Mobley's brother get drafted? Not saying he would be a good pro but they worked pretty good as a frontcourt in college together.

One week in top 5
1. Mobley
2. Barnes
3. Duarte
4. Giddey
5. Mitchell (low stats but clearly amazing defense)

The early season rookie class "fandemonium" happens basically every year (and is often forgotten as quickly as it came). So it's impossible to crown this class "special" yet with any seriousness. But like every year I can appreciate the excitement (I feel it too). Looking forward to seeing Barnes play vs the Bulls tonight.

Isaiah Mobley worked out for some teams, got a read on where he might be drafted, and went back to USC for another year.

The way the Cavs operate, I wouldn't put it past them to pick him up next year if the cost is reasonable.

Evan is still a rook and he's still going to get taken to school on a night by night basis; but given his IQ the question is how fast he learns and adjusts to avoid making the same mistake. The fact he can recover and help even after letting someone get by him is pretty amazing.

lmao oh come on after 3 games/1 week.

Barnes is averaging a double double, 18/10/2, ORTG 113 and DRTG at 100. -0.4 BPM
Franz inferior stats to Barnes, 13/5/1, ORTG 109 and DRTG 118. with a -3.8 BPM

Franz maybe with a case at 4 or 5.

The NBA’s future is so secure. The young talent is insane and only getting better with international players becoming more common.

Now if they only fixed the 3P problem….

Barnes is averaging 16.8 and 8.5. He's shooting 16.7% from 3, 1.3 assists and 3.3 turnovers, .5 steals, .3 blocks.

Franz had a 2:1 assist to turnover rate, gets 1 steal, .8 blocks, shoots 35% from 3, and averages 13.3 ppg.

So Franz is better in nearly every statistical category except rebounding and points. Franz is playing less minutes, with less usage.

Fair enough. Franz is #1 rookie so far in week 2. Suggs is #2.

I know everyone is excited about their rookies but Suggs is literally shooting 25% from the field so far. That doesn't mean he won't be great, but he's clearly struggled shooting the ball so far. No way yo could ever say he is the #2 performing rookie right now.

I’m more of a traits guy at this point.

I think Suggs and Mobley will be the best players for the longest period of time over the course of their careers.
