Re: Official Spec Thread: Heart and Hustle Magic 2.0
Carter, Bamba, and Lopez all have PERs above 15: no suprise as Centers do well on PER.
The other Magician north of this mendoza line is Cole Anthony. His stat line projected forward is that of a triple-double machine.
Start Anthony, F-Wagner, Isaac, Carter, and Bamba ?????
(( just kidding, but only a little bit ))

Barnes, Achiuwa, Boucher, Birch... all of them are 6'9 or smaller.
Boucher had very nice year last season, over span of 5 games so far, he is unplayable.

I watched a replay of the Toronto game and saw this thread title bumped. There is a lot of heart and hustle here.

Re: Official Spec Thread: Heart and Hustle Magic 2.0
As one of the biggest longtime supporters and backers of Isaac it hurts to say this, but I wish we didn’t have the longterm commitment that we do to him right now.
I’m just very comfortable with our frontcourt situation at the moment. Franz/Chuma on rookie contracts, WCJ on a team friendly deal, && Bamba set to hit restricted free agency.
With that being the case and with Isaacs injury history and current off the court situation (which is effecting his on the court situation), I just wish we weren’t going to be paying him 17 million over the next 4 seasons.
Hopefully his career takes a completely different trajectory from this point forth and he can string together some healthy impactful seasons, but I surely don’t have confidence that will happen.
We will just have to see where he fits in. I’m not looking to reduce any of Franz/Bamba/WCJ’s roles atm.

We can void his contract if he gets injured again so the risk is not that high. Our front office is really high on him. He wont start right away but i would expect Bamba minutes to drop. Maybe i am wrong but in my eyes WCJ/Bamba combo works mostly becouse of Carter. Even last game Bamba was defending Barnes, and he was their most efficient guy. i dont mind him taking midrangers but the close outs were poor.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Perhaps you have an update on this but everything I’ve read is very vague on how much, if anything significant, would be voided due to injury. I also read that it would specifically need to be his left knee to qualify.
The WCJ situation is an interesting conversation. I think an argument could be made that why we are finding so much success with the WCJ/Bamba pairing so far is due to the fact that he’s been able to play at PF where he just seems more comfortable. Bamba being on the court allows him to play there.
We will just have to see how determined they are to develop Isaac as a stretch 5. I personally see us moving WCJ back to the 5 and starting Isaac at 4.
It remains to be seen if that lineup could find the same level of success.

It's not a problem until it's a problem. It would be a wealth of riches if all of them were healthy and there would still be minutes enough to go around. I remember the Pacers many years ago having an absolutely loaded frontcourt with Antonio Davis coming off the bench. The old Pistons teams were loaded as well.
People worry too much about starting lineups. We always talk about roster congestion, yet every team in the league ends up playing fringe NBA players to fill minutes throughout the season because attrition happens. We just need Isaac to get healthy so that we can enjoy having too many assets.

What's this about voiding Isaac's deal?
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

Dears:
I have simplified this as seasons-from-Dwightmare was getting overly cluttered. We have the first two rebuilding years, the two playoff years, and last year. That is all compared to this year in green.

- We force the least amount of turnovers in the league. We also turn the ball over 5 times more than opp. teams.
So we don't force turn overs and we cough up the ball a lot more than our opp. This has to change.
- We are in the bottom 5 in opp. FG%. So much for drafting all these defensive gems.

Re: Official Spec Thread: Heart and Hustle Magic 2.0
Guys, this is going to be a TOUGH season. I wouldn't look at stats at all, just how players visibly improving. Our activity at the deadline will be moving contracts and TE's for assets, we are a WAY away.
I wouldn't even be shocked if we moved Isaac if the right deal was on the table. 3 of the top 4 picks are pf in this draft and he isn't a SF, at some point we need to balance this roster. Fultz might even be a part of moving on too. Just hoping coach develops these guys as players

Re: Official Spec Thread: Heart and Hustle Magic 2.0
If Fultz doesn't play well enough to grab the starting PG spot, he's probably not really going to hold any trade value. I really hope he comes out gunning and solidifies his spot with Suggs next to him (for the next decade).
I don't know what to make of our bigs...they are playing well, but are they really major pieces for the future? Maybe a swole, healthy Isaac comes back and cements our Center spot and makes MIP Bamba a solid sign & trade chip? He might command a higher return than WCJ. I also could envision moving Isaac for a legit scorer or high pick...but he's another guy whose injury history might kill any trade value and, therefore, be a guy to just build with. It's easy to forget how impactful he can be when he's perpetually in street clothes or Fox News. I love Chuma, but he could also be the guy they consider offers for (unless he starts raining 3's to go along with his high IQ 2-way game - he's great, but Franz might displace him on the chart.

Some What-ifs.
What if Fultz plays like a starter and Anthony continues as he is? Orlando sort of has to run a three-guard set then. Right?

We are also 3rd slowest paced team. Now imagine how much TOs there would be if they try to play faster.
i already posted that in past, but people were hating on Clifford for playing too slow. We now play slower but nobody complains

i'm not really looking too much into off and def rating before 20-30 games ,but when i went to see pace, i also saw we are worst nba defense.
