I mean, I do hear what you'r saying. It is only 7 games.
But nevertheless, we're 2-5, and in 12th place.
Hit the Button.

Smart may have had positive intentions with his remarks but airing both of his more talented teammates out publicly was out of line when considering the circumstances. Smart finished the game with zero assists himself and while he had a solid shooting night overall (5-of-11 FG, 3-of-5 3pt) his shooting percentages for the season over his first six games are still horrific (25 percent from field, 23 percent from 3-point range). Amid years of questionable shot selection from Smart, never once have Tatum and Brown publicly taken issue with their teammate. However, he pointed to himself as the solution for Boston’s offensive woes on Monday.
“I mean, I think if I’m getting in the lane and I’m making it easy for other guys, I’m making it easier for everybody,” Smart explained. “Even if my shots aren’t falling, the threat that I put on teams coming off the pick-and-roll and getting to the basket or being in the post. Teams are doubling me in the post and if they do, everybody knows I’m a great passer and I’m going to find guys. Just really taking some ease off of Jayson and Jaylen early on in the game and even late in games sometimes so we’re not exhausting ourselves on the offensive end and then getting picked on the defensive end.”
Smart may want the ball in his hands more as well but he hasn’t shown this season yet that he deserves it either with a career-low in shooting numbers and a career-high turnover rate. This is also a guy that was suspended by Udoka just a couple of weeks ago for missing a team flight in the preseason.
Where the Celtics go from here amid a disastrous start to the season is not clear but Smart did not make things any easier tonight with his comments. Tatum and Brown can improve as playmakers for others but that’s far down the list of issues for this Celtics team that ranks 26th in defensive rating and 30th in points allowed per game. This wasn’t the time or the place for these types of comments from Smart that probably need to be addressed with the head coach directly rather than aired publicly. This group has butted heads before (see: Miami series in the Orlando bubble) in the locker room and it’s fair to wonder how they will respond to this. The road doesn’t get any easier with a three-game road trip looming and it’s now up to Udoka to keep this group together in the wake of some harsh critiques by the longest-tenured Celtic.

I refuse. They have 75 more chances to fix things, I mean, that is a lot of time.
Not gonna lie though it looks pretty **** lmao

You can't get assists if your team can't shoot. Something tells me if we had a Joe Harris, Duncan Robinson, Seth Curry kinda guy these numbers would be slightly different.
Idk if the stat exists, but I'd love to see one that counts potential assists to teammates who ended up missing wide open shots. Something tells me they would be at the top of that as well.
