So im going to compare this to video games.

Ben was a disaster in the playoffs...despite what you can do or how many stats you get...some people choke when it really matters or just lack the overall skill. Same goes for video games.

In video games you will get people that once the receive criticism they give up and say fine try to win without me...

I think thats what Ben tried to pull...He rage quit and rolled the dice that the 76ers would be worse without him...

But the jokes on him the 76ers are smashing it...they are playing well...

In fact Boston swept Philly the previous year, because Ben didn't play....

And the reason why Philly never won the championship is because Embiid shot .370 in the 7-game series vs. Toronto 2019, and-

Embiid 17 points, 5-14 field, 12 rebounds, 5 turnovers

Yeah, he adds value to a team and helps them win even in the playoffs. Just not to the level of the expectations for him which is why fans are so disappointed. I think the better way to look at Simmon's value to a playoff team is as a floor raising player, but not a ceiling raising one. He will make a roster night in and night out more competitive and more capable of beating a team that they should beat but his ineptitude in a half court offense is going to hurt against an opponent that the Sixers are evenly matched with.

This Embiid vs. Simmons analysis for that Toronto series has one glaring omission: Jimmy Butler was the best player for the Sixers in that series! Over 7 games, Butler was the leading scorer and led in assists despite Simmons being the PG.

As a Raptors fan, I remember Butler was tenacious, went toe-to-toe with Kawhi in the dying minutes of Game 7, where in the last 5 minutes he scored 5 of Philly's last 10 points. If it weren't for Butler, Toronto would not have needed that last second Kawhi shot. Embiid made key free throws and left everything on the floor. Meanwhile, Simmons was nowhere to be seen in crunch time.

EMBIID played FORTY FIVE minutes in Game 7 against Toronto. In the 3 minutes he did not play, the Sixers were -11.

MINUS ELEVEN IN THREE MINUTES.

Think about that.

And in the last 10 minutes of Game 7 vs. Atlanta, Embiid scored a total of 4 points and turned the ball over twice, including with 44 seconds left when he lost the ball to Gallinari....
