Could make the argument 5 of the top 10 picks were whiffs. Guess the Mavs aren't the only team who can't draft

Hahaha, yeah. That was a really weird pick by the Suns since they have Ayton.

Remember when you don't wanted DDR because he can't shoot for 3.... this is your sharpshooters squad

Why did everyone talk about Dragic and not Rubio? Rubio is paid 1m less, is far better and Cleveland got him for nothing. I talked about him a couple of weeks ago, but he went way way way under the radar

He made 0.9 3pointer / game this season, whats the point with the hottakes? DFS makes 1.2 that is complained about. So yeah, DDR doesnt shoot from 3. Its like saying DP is a 3pt shooter cause he made 0.2 3pt/g this season and got a higher % made then DDR.

I agree and feel like Rubio always goes under the radar. He's a solid PG that makes his teammates better and has a much better jumpshot this year. Probably out of our reach now that Sexton is down and I'm not sure he would fit in well now that Brunson's playmaking ability has skyrocketed.

DDR is a superstar, you compare him to DFS and DP who are mediocre roleplayers. OMG.
DDR doesn't shoot for 3 but make a lot of good things in a basketball court. He would be an huge upgrade.
Cuban should had done everything for sign him, that Is the player who make us a big leap.
Hope you understand it too...finally.

There’s no way they will ever recover from that record. The Mavs should start tanking now.

Frank looks surprisngly good for 20 MPG guard minutes Mavs were missing, leaves a hole at the 4, Jerami Grant is a good target.

KP/missing 4/Maxi/DFS should cover the 72 minutes at the 4-5
Luka/THJ/Bullock/DFS should man the 72 minutes at the 2-3
Brunson/Frank/Luka should cover the 48 minutes at the 1

WCS/Boban provide cover for KP
SBrown provides emergency for a missing wing
Burke provides emergency for a missing guard

I'd call Detroit, who are commanding a new tank, and beg them to take Powell, Green, Moses Brown, 1st and 2 2nds for Jerami Grant, and Mavs eat whatever contract they don't want into TPE.

Grant would be great, i think Detroit could accept that package.

Maybe we lacked in C position, a back up like McGee,Howard ecc would be perfect for complete our rotation.

Guys what Is the Brunson contract situation? Is he UFA next summer? What kind of contract we offered him in the rookie season?

He's UFA, I see him getting 70-80mil/5yrs, and I'm fine with that.

He's 2nd rounder, you have the option of making the last year qualifying offer of team option, they went for the team option, if they didn't he would've been extended last year.
I agree about waiting for the PO, but from the way he's playing right now, he's getting more than MLE in the open market, and S&T will be very complicated because of his small contract and BYC rules.

Isaiah Hartenstein is an UFA this upcoming offseason.
What's our cap situation assuming we resign Jalen Brunson?
Sign & trade might be the best way to aquire him from the clips, sending Dwight Powell's salary.

Brunson cap hold is small, so is DFS, so Mavs will have the full MLE, I wouldn't spend it on Hartenstein though, but some big forward, ThadYoung or OPJ.

With WCS gone, we'll need a replacement. Isaiah Hartenstein would fit that bill and more.
I've hated watching WCS on the floor this year. He's not playing with any urgency, seems to have lost his motor.

We could have problems to resign Brunson if his value goes too high...
