Instant reaction... we should stomp the F out of these bums.

measured reaction... they just beat the jazz, we nearly lost to the pistons

Last time we played them, KD dropped 42.

can NOT lose this game.

Yes, we need to take care of business in this game.

No matter if they jump out to an early lead... they are flying high and feeling good so far this season. All due respect, they don't yet know that they aren't very good. They're a young team without the institutional knowledge of the doldrums of a long losing streak. Ignorance is bliss, and it's danger for opponents.

No matter if they dominate us on the glass... they have young, spry, elite athletes. I won't get wrapped around the axle about losing the battle of the boards to them like I would with other teams. They'll give us the game in other ways.

No matter if they get their crowd going wild with transition buckets and awesome dunks... the one bad road habit I see on our team is a tendency to let "momentum" crush our confidence. We just need to hunker down when they go on runs, instead of playing into their hands by hoisting panicky retaliation shot attempts.

The Blue Collar Boys club is going to need to lace up their boots, strap on their hard hat, and get to work. Hustle plays, loose balls, hard screens, drawing charges, getting deflections, these will win us the game handily, so we don't have to sweat out a photo finish. Kevin and James just need to be relentless driving to the cup, and take care of the ball. Shooters gotta shoot. Let's go.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Really interested in seeing how Harden comes out tomorrow. He was MAD after the Chicago game. Particularly about the spacing and execution.

We really don't have any rim rollers or true stretch bigs on the team. I wonder if that's getting to Harden. Bruce is the only roller he's had any success with this year.

Agree. The Claxton experiment got iced. Despite the illness he is too young and inexperienced to be relied on in that role . Harden needs a pick and roll partner to open up the wings. Plus the reverse in foul calls has stunted his drives along with the hammy situation. We can’t have another game with Brown playing 31 minutes with one rebound and 0 points. Plus Mills with just 5. He missed a lot of shots. I think though the schedule caught up to the team. We are due for a better showing. If Kyrie is going to sit out this season I hope we trade him for a rebounder and roll partner for Harden that can also shoot. A true stretch 5. LMA has been solid but he should be part of our bench mob.

We dont need rebounding. we have enough size to priortize rebounding if we want to. which we dont, because that makes 0 sense with regards to winning.

the idea is to rebound as well as possible while also going smaller/spacing the floor/switching alot. which we have drastically improved.

WE do need a rim roller. i dont see why claxton isnt that guy when he comes back. issue is does nash play him? id assume not.

With a win tonight, we are 8-4. our best start in 14 years and looking at probably wins/losses from other teams we should be in 2nd or 3rd place by tommorow morning.

All this with Harden playing more like fringe all-star then an mvp.

Nets should win this one and improve to 8-4. They need to take care of business with these next few games before the Warriors come to the Clays. With that said, 7-4 start with a team still trying to figure their stuff out is scary, yes like Bontemps said, scary. Once chemistry is in full swing with continuity, I cannot see anyone beating us. And the identity of this team has changed thanks to Bembry and Brown, which was covered in a video on ND. I expect Marks to make a trade for more solid shooters come December. I don't see Kyrie here come Dec/Jan but that's just me.

I've been a huge Clax supporter but he's a weird fit on the team now. It's not about Nash. I think Bruce has proved that he's damn near necessary in the starting lineup to bring defensive intensity to the table. Spacing is very bad if Clax and Bruce play together. Now 2nd unit - LMA is playing pretty damn well but throw that aside for a second - he probably has to play with Bembry + Millsap - and that destroys the spacing.

To make things worse - whether it was the illness or not - Claxton was awful to start the year. Blake and LMA have been solid. Claxton needs to play at a level where he commands minutes. Where he's so good on defense and as a roll man that we can be great with so-so spacing. Or - like he did last year - lift the defense up so much that we feel comfortable bringing Bruce off the bench again.

We really need to not only win, but also give KD a break from playing almost 40 minutes.

The vibe is better. Should not have to rely on Durant and iso plays so much if we can move the ball. Harden needed to push the pace more and I can see he is trying.

Utah has issues, this same tragic team spanked them playing 3-2 defense.

Didn't know Cam and Sharpe were with team.
