Mobleys going to be a superstar. So much for the guys predraft doubting him for being timid in a couple NCAA tourney games. He was always a guy who was going to look better playing in the NBA not that he wasnt great in the NCAA.

At least with Diallo we got a team option next year.

If Frank can find his three point shooting this game it would be worth it.

Such a bad game. Casey isn't a good coach, too many turn overs, no offense, and I barely got any And'1s from fellow game thread posters.

I liked Garza's minutes, that's the positive.

So why did Cade only get 8 shots tonight? Was he not aggressive enough? Seems like no one is really creating looks for him. Did Casey not call enough plays for him? Hard to say but I think you want him getting 15+ attempts per night pretty much every night.

Not going to lie, seeing how good Mobley is and his impact on his team winning he very much does feel like a floor raiser. I'm not sure he ends up the best player in this draft or not but you can easily see why NBA GMs think he'll be the best player in 5 years.

You follow two teams in Ohio, bro. As a Michigan alum you have to put up something really impressive to get an And 1 from me.

Just kidding; I'm just not a very frequent And 1-er.

And I do hate Ohio. Like the entire state.

I think Cade was making the right play, unfortunately it was to an open man missing a shot. Then he started turning it over so there went those shots. Gotta keep staying aggressive though. Cavs are good too.

Yeah, but is he REALLY 6'10"? You don't want to find out that you drafted a PF/C with guard skills only to find out that he's really a SF with guard skills.

he was more aggressive in the first half but seemed like he wanted to get his teammates involved in the second half. it was an ugly second half for him overall, as his drives mostly ended up in turnovers.

he has a lot of potential and a lot of time to grow but for my own selfish fan reasons i'd rather see him force up shots than force passes. obviously long-term it's a lot better that he actually wants to make the right basketball play but it's annoying watching him pass the ball to teammates and them squandering the opportunities. i will also say this is the first game where it definitely looked like he needed to work on his dribble. i think 3 or more of his turnovers were just from that. he's only going to see more ball pressure/attention as the season progresses so hopefully he can handle it.

I'm just having good fun with my no And'1 comment. I've lived most my life in Ohio, but never near Cleveland. I just can't root for the only NBA team in the state, screw the Cavs! I'm not an OSU fan either as I didn't go there.

If Diallo is going to refuse to go into the game just send him down to the G League and send Saben back up.

Diallo needs to go bye bye if he's refusing to play.

totally unrelated to basketball, but is there a rivalry now between browns and bengals fans? both teams have been mediocre for a long time but have promise now.

fwiw i think the bengals are in better shape long term - burrow is going to keep them playoff contenders for a long time.

There has always been a rivalry, but it's inconsequential. Most Bengals and Browns fans direct anger and jealousy toward the Steelers and Ravens. I desperately hope Burrow leads us out of Bungle land.

Phone rings, Casey answers.
Casey: Yeah?
Weaver: Hey, Troy here. Can I ask why in the hell you had CoJo on that floor so long? We were up 1 when he came in and and I sat here and watched his brutal play and you left him and Lyles in until we were down 13?. We have our starting guards, you know, 20 year old kids who could play 40 minutes a night 6 days in a row. Why is Saban not with the team getting those CoJo minutes.

Casey:. Well, CoJo is a vet, he was with me in Toronto, he is such a good pro.

Weaver:. Jesus, HE SUCKS ASS, are you kidding me?

Casey: but Saban is so young, he would probably not be able to do much.

Weaver: So you worry about what Saban MIGHT do and you play a guy that is absolute trash right in front of your very eyes minute after minute, game after game?

Casey: But CoJo is a vet, he is smart
Weaver:. HE IS TRASH. PACK YOUR STUFF, YOUR FIRED.

Is Stewart that bad he only got 24 mins while being our starter on a big man lacking team?

Has any offense ever been worse in NBA history? This has to be the worst shooting team i have ever seen in my life.

the diallo signing at the time didn't make a lot of sense if they weren't going to move JJ and it still doesn't make sense.

and honestly, i don't know if i'd refuse to check into games but i'd be pissed if i was in diallo's situation too. obviously we don't know what happens in practice or behind closed doors but diallo was signed to rotation-player money and he's getting 15th-player treatment where he only plays garbage time. JJ has been okay but it's not exactly like frank jackson is lighting it up and he was signed to almost half the contract diallo was.
