GT: Nets @ Thunder - 11/14 7pm EST

Post#1 » by ecuhus1981 » Sun Nov 14, 2021 7:58 pm

Before the beginning of the season, this last stop in our 6-game road trip looked like a cakewalk. However, in spite of their front office's hopes of tanking, Kevin's other Alma Mater have looked feisty and... decent. Shai, Luguentz and rookie Josh form a promising future core on the perimeter, and they are yielding positive results already. Dort broke into the league as a Harden-stopper, and I assume our superstar PG will receive a steady diet of his dogged defense today. Alexander is one of the most prolific and efficient dribble drivers in the league; without a true rim protector, I expect to see a very aggressive SGA. Giddey has SF size and a true playmaker's skill set, so it'll be interesting to see how we guard him.

We should be able to run our secondary action without a ton of resistance, as long as James can make the first pass through some on-ball pressure. 3-point shooting accuracy will likely determine this one, as they can generate the same quality of looks that we can; they just don't normally hit them. Joe, Patty and surprise sniper DeAndre need to hit open looks, while challenging shots and breaking up developing plays on the other end.

I expect a struggle. And we'll hope for the best. Go Brooklyn!

This will be a very successful road trip if we can pull off a victory tonight. No doubt OKC is young and hungry and would love to take down one of the leagues big boys. It should be a tough battle, we are going to need a big night from the dog pound.

This will not be easy if the Nets come in here not ready to play. Shai Alexander, Lou Dort and Josh Giddey are legit

This 2nd unit is just a disaster without any stars on the floor.

There's no reason this shouldn't be a 30-40pt blow out. Can we stop anything?

Have to play the kids there is no other way... Maybe you don't rely on them in the playoffs, but to ease the minute burden in the regular season you're going to have to play them...

It would be great if the dog pound could put this one away so we can rest KD and James.

Predictably we let them close the lead with their 2nd and 3rd string guys so now we have to bring KD back in. I don't understand how Harden could be so passive at times.

It’s nice to beat teams you’re supposed to beat.
