The_Hater was one of the rare fans that I felt really spoke about the NBA and his team with true objectivity. Very fun and easy to converse with. He also had a healthy respect for Steph Curry when it wasn't trendy to do so and I'll always appreciate him for that. You'll be missed buddy.

I did not meet or argue with him, but it's always sad yo hear it.
More if we think that most of us are young. I assume there's not a lot of guys here in his 60's, 70's or above so it's more sad.

What team did The_Hater root for? I think it was the Raptors. Only reason I ask then I can remember him more precisely since I'm fairly new to the board.

He and I would sometimes PM each other to say nice things about each other's team. I think we did it in private because we didn't want other fans of our teams thinking we were going soft haha.

His user name was The_Hater but he wasn't really a hater at all. If you gave it to him he would certainly give it back, but for the most part he was very polite and reasonable. And smart.

I know he loved Scottie Barnes and I'm happy he had a new favorite player to enjoy in his final days.

I'm still so shocked about this. I didn't know he was sick. I miss him. Make amends and appreciate your loved ones, everybody. Life is short.

The_Hater is quite the opposite to a Hater. Always active and respectful. Like someone else mentioned, he often brought up points about a certain team or player the way I never though of. Such a huge loss to the realgm fam.

Am I understanding your post correctly- that The_Hater was given a shout out by the announcers during the Raps game? If so that's pretty cool
