Good start. Guard play has been good and KP is playing well.

Let's hope this continues in the 2nd half.

WCS can't finish a layup, can't get a rebound and is making McGee look like Wilt out there. Dude seriously looks bad.

KP and Ntilikina need to get back in the game with Brunson.

Agreed. Need some creation since Bridges is seriously putting the clamps on Brunson.

I do not understand the Suns. I didn’t last year and I don’t this year. If you look at their roster make up they have have no business having the record they do. They run essentially a seven to eight man rotation and I would classify two of those players as great and the others as middling to good. I tip my hat to them because what they have works, but it seems like it shouldn’t. The Mavs were shooting above 50% at one point from three point range and the Suns still might win. It defies logic. In most games they’d be down by 20 points.

Yet again our wings sucks, no reason to be playing zone diwn the stretch and no reason Bullock should have been in over frank, kidd blew this game. We need a trade and barnes should be the target

Even if you shoot 50% from 3, allowing the same to be scored by the suns on the other end won't get you a win.

I've always maintained my stand on KP and the other guys taking on the scoring load and Luka being the closer since he likes clutch shots and is hard to guard. That way Luka is not gassed out the whole game.

Positives
- Brunson had a good game. 18, 9 and 9. He struggled against taller defenders but played like like a real floor general.
- Frank really played well both offensively and defensively. He should have probably played more down the stretch.
- Burke played decent minutes. Hit his shots. Started overdribbling in the 2nd half but overall good for a backup
- THJ didn't have a good shooting game but he was very aggressive and made a lot of things happen
- Powell played well. Hit a 3, rebounded well and was active. DFS too.

Negatives
- Defense was bad at closing out at 3s.
- WCS was pathetic
- KP needs to play tougher. Missed easy shots at the rim and needs to seriously do a better job of establishing position in the post.
- Bullock and Sterling didn't hit their shots. They moved the ball well and played decent defense but we need at least something more then 2 points combined.
- Missed calls by refs at the end was annoying

Overall I'm pretty happy with seeing the good ball movement and competing with a contender without Luka. Sucks we lost but some positive signs at least.

I mean, maybe. The Mavs shot 16/32 from three. They should have won this game by 20 points. I don’t want to sound salty, because they have a solid team, but the Suns just find a way to win.

I really think that the Mavs should have traded Brunson last year. Now no one is going to want him because his contract is expiring. The Mavs will be forced to pay up.

All in on bringing him back.

He can get buckets down low when needed. The ship is sinking quickly in Sacramento.

Our wings are trash, i said that all off season long.
It's painful watch players who can barely dribble and shoot only wide open, on the offensive end they are figurines.
Luka is a magician for make those mediocre role players good.
Frank can't play less than 30minutes in this roster, mostly if he shoots better than our amazing 40%+ 3point shooters that can't defend a chair.

WCS and Brown are very weak players, it's impossible that Green and EO are worse that those 2. Impossible.

Brunson, KP and THJ carry the team with a lot of iso plays.
We made the max, no way we can beat the Suns.

H. Barnes would fit in like a glove on this team right now. Big 3/4 hybrid that can score, shoot and defend? Yes please.

The question will be do the Mavs have enough to get him if a bidding war happens.

They were pretty bad offensively from the mid-range in. They missed a lot of shots right at the rim. If they shoot better from inside the arch they win this game.

Yup. If Bulls wanted to go all in, it would be difficult to top a PatWill, DJJ and maybe Coby trade package.

The recent winning streak gave fans inflated expectations. But a lot of those are against bad teams. The good news is Mavs are just right where they are. Probably in the middle of the pack. Placed anywhere between 3 to 5 in the playoffs. You cant expect a young team to be a #1 seed in the West.

FYI

Mavs are like the 8th or 9th oldest team in the league.
