I wasn't sure if I was going to wear mine too much because of the quality issues, but I was stuck in a quarantine hotel for 21 days and no laundry, so I ended up wearing them a lot.

I agree, which is a god damn shame. It should be a non-political event about celebrating a great American achievement. That was a special moment with Giannis', and like all his moments, I'm not taking it for granted of happening again.

Got the two things from Bucks Pro Shop that they hadn't cancelled. Glad I stuck it out because one of them was the shirt my son *had* to have and it's no longer available anywhere else. None of the stuff I got for myself shipped, so I went on the NBA store and ordered 3 clearance shirts for the price of one of the Pro Shop shirts I had ordered, and they've already shipped. **** Bucks Pro Shop, man.

A former Bucks employee, who is unvaccinated, spoke to Rolling Stone on the condition of anonymity for fear of losing future work in the basketball industry. Last spring, the person believed themself to be the only unvaccinated employee in the Bucks’ basketball-operations staff. “There were a couple times when I was like, ‘Maybe I should just go get the shot,’” the person tells RS. “You know how bad I would have felt if I would have came into the office and tested positive and then it spreads to, like, Giannis getting sick?” The former employee says they were locked out of the Bucks’ practice facility, cut off from interaction with players, and banned from the lower bowl of the arena. “But you could do all the right things and still get it.”

Phew. When I started reading that article, I thought it was going to be a lot worse than it really was. Thought it was going to be about an outbreak that got covered up or something. Basically, the Bucks (and it sounds like to a lesser extent, the Suns) relaxed their safety protocols for the finals and then a bunch of staff and Thanasis got pozzed. Then they were freaked out that the Freak might test positive, too, but he never did, and all was well.

And obviously hundreds of people from the Deer District ended up catching COVID.

Didn't read the whole story but realgm headline makes it sound like Giannis wasn't vaccinated at the time? I hope not, but wouldn't be shocked if we found out he isn't vaccinated and that they didn't report "close contact" as they should have.
