Also the first NBA player I know of that had his World of Warcraft character tattooed to his body.

Wait.. that's what rings a bell for you?

Im sorry everyone but aside from defense, WOW and etc... whta brings me to mind is that he is the ONLY NBA player so far that was given a " hall pass " by his wife every time he has an away game. Or was that once a year " hall pass" LOL

Ypu havrn't heard or read about it? In an interview, his wife allows him to sleep with another women 1ce a year. Especially or supposedly on away games. Its supposed to be her gift as well as insurancr so ak47 wont cheat on her. lol

I think Jonathan Isaac can match his production on both sides of the court. He'll be back within a couple weeks.

I've honestly never heard of this until now, thanks for the clarification.

My best comp would be a taller skinnier version of Draymond Green. Good flexible defender, good passer for his size/position, not good enough to really be a realible n.1 or n.2 scorer, but good enough to be a threat with his ability to make the right pass and create.
BTW I think it´s a shame that he got hooked up on WOW, I think people undersetimate how gaming addiction can screw with a pros life.

top 10 player level impact superstar i would supermax him. he is literally giannis without scoring.

AK47 was weak mentally and an overrated defender. He is a fringe all star for his 2 best seasons in todays NBA

Kirilenko is more similiar to Anunoby than Barnes.

How does his prime comp with Prime Draymond?

AK47 has been my primary comp to Draymond since his sophomore year... AK was a much better scorer, IMO. Other than that, a ton of similarities. I think AK's peak was much higher than Draymond's

Draymond is a quarterback on defensive with some of the highest defensive IQ ever (AK47 is a not even in the conversation re bball IQ) + he is an elite competitor and a better 1 on 1 defender.

Comparing them defensively…Draymond is a different league.

He was always better at the 4 than 3, but even in today's NBA I would think injuries would still be an issue for him...

I think Kirilenko was mostly misused and undervalued in his career. Teams weren't sure what to do with a monster help defender that wasn't a full-time center. The Jazz would have him out there on the floor but used his versatility more so to accommodate flawed star players like Boozer. Kirilenko always felt like a bonus player who did his damage in the margins, rather than playing in a system that highlighted his strengths.

In today's league teams love versatile defenders that can anchor small ball units. Looks how the Clippers use Nic Batum. Draymond, Mobley, Giannis etc. A guy who can be put anywhere on the floor, guard multiple positions and create chaos with the length and timing is exactly what teams are looking for. Kirilenko was the epitome of this.

On offense he wasn't a scorer but was a pretty nice glue guy with his ball-handling and passing. His shooting never got to where it needed to be. Rich man's Nic Batum all the way.

I loved AK47. I think he would be just as impactful, if not more, in today's NBA.

AK never really got the opportunity to play in a defense like Dray, but the definitive declaration that Dray is a better 1 on 1 defender than Kirilenko is definitely seems excessive

He would be this era's Pippen. A great perimeter defender that could play different positions as needed. His help and weak side defense were amazing.

Baron Davis would come out of retirement and dunk on his butt to end his career again.
