Not sure. I think it's more that he's very dependent on the rhythm/flow of the game and the confidence he draw from it. And playing with Curry may not help him here.

Seems to play better when there isn't the pressure of whether or not he should take the shot. Which is fine because we really dont have a place in the starting lineup for him. But if true, it also means he should be shopped in the offseason because hes going to cost more than he can return, value-wise, on court

There were stretches where it seemed to work with Curry. Also last season, where he always came from the bench but they often finished the game on the court together.
Maybe he can find his groove when leading the bench unit and then work with the starters in spurts.
