GT #16: HEAT @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/99.1 FM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Sat Nov 20, 2021 6:41 am

YOUR Washington Bullets are 10-5 and are on their second 2-game losing streak of the season!

Thursday night saw a Miami HEAT squad that returned Lowry and Adebayo. Butler scored 30 and the Bullets were done in by the likes of Gabe Vincent! Miami dominated from the free throw, scored 50 points in the paint, and capitalized off of 17 Bullets turnovers.

Your Bullets shot much better than they did in Charlotte. But without WINwiddie and Daniel 'The Landlord' Gafford guarding the paint, it was too much to overcome.

WINwiddie will be back tonight. Gafford is questionable. Needless to say if he doesn't play, I don't see how the Bullets can beat this HEAT squad.

Will the Bullets get some homecooking by the refs? (doubt it!)

Will Beal continue to shoot well? (Maybe!)

Does Wes Unseld Jr. have a trick up his sleeve? (We'll see Image!)

I'm keeping my expectations low!

Mayo's point is interesting -- especially given our offense having been extremely good: with the sole exception of turnovers.

As to defense, well... we fouled them a lot in the act of shooting -- a whole lot, given they got 14 more FTAs than we did (to go with their 5 more FGAs).

But, defensive rebounding is part of defense, & we were not good in that department. Miami missed 41 shots, but we only got 32 defensive rebounds. We missed 39 shots, but they got 34 defensive boards.

Basically, if you give a team 14 extra FTAs & 8 extra FGAs, you really cannot win.

To beat Miami, we'd have needed to shoot an efg% of 70%.

Yeah, the rebounding noticeably struggled from a visual perspective in some stretches during this two-game road trip.

OTOH, I feel some optimism that we'll win tonight. Confidence, even.

Gafford is a go for tonight. Bam and Herro are game-time decisions, I'm guessing they'll play.

Bam and Herro both playing, I wouldn't count on it. At least we are getting Gafford and Dinwiddie back.

Story of this losing streak, turnovers.

If the Wizards put the Heat in transition with careless possessions they'll be on their first three game losing streak this season.

Ugh, Scott Foster officiating tonight. Silver Spring native must have been a Boston fan growing up.

Gafford just so foul prone. We can't guard Jimmy Buckets.

Gafford is just killing us with these early fouls. Why take a difficult charge with one foul this early in the game? Just put your hands up. We need you to guard Bam. KCP is garbage. If he can't defend, he gives you nothing on offense.

Again, this force feeding Trez thing is not his game. Turnovers killing the flow of a decent offensive start.

Same story as last game, Wizards spotting the Heat easy points with awful turnovers.

4 with half of the opening quarter left...

Somebody please tell KCP to stop handling the rock.

That first one was bull, but yeah he needs to be more selective.

Yes, I didn't say the first one was correct but after that, you have to be smarter. This crew calls everything. I just can't stand Foster.
