Number 1: Lebron has way more money because he earned it. He kept his body in shape, became a star, lead his team to titles, and is involved in businesses and social movement. As the premier name in the NBA, Lebron has a lot to lose. His own fortune AND the league's fortune. Kanter simply doesn't understand what it is like to be in that role.

Number 2: He can criticize Lebron. He could have said, "I think what Lebron said is wrong and hurts humanized right movement. I think China is a dictatorship and they need to be called out for what they are." By attacking Nike, then attacking Lebron by wearing a shoe showing him bowing to China is no longer a form of constructive criticism.
