I wouldn't mind Stewart getting a suspension for charging at Lebron the second time. He was out of line after initially walking away. I love his passion but he needs to keep it under control for the sake of the team. We can't have him getting ejected or suspended games because he feels disrespected. It's not helpful for the team in the grand scheme.

I don't think Stewart was concussed, he just flatly lost it. I don't know what the trigger was, was it the blood or something Lebron said or even just a dismissive look from Lebron that Stewart perceived but young'un almost looked like he was blacked out and on automatic pilot.

I think the Pistons need to get in a veteran big man player mentor for Stewart. Ben is great being in the organization, and I think talking to Sheed would be great for Stewart, but I think he needs an active player on the roster. Udonis Haslem is end of bench in Miami basically solely for this role it seems.

I don't think utilizing Sheed as a mentor will do much to calm Stewart's temper

With that said, Stewart does seem to let his emotions get the best of him from time to time. Love the passion but he needs to learn to reign that in somewhat and with him being really young still, you've got to think that maturity will somewhat cure that.

If LeBron got punched like that from anyone on our team you know his teammates would be over there in the scuffle. Stewart got punched right in the face and no other Pistons sad a word to LeBron and no one even mentioned post game about it being a cheap shot by LeBron. Kind of sucks for Beef Stew.

They were too busy trying to prevent Stewart from going on a rampage and quite possibly getting suspended for a large chunk of the season. He was completely out of control and it's not like the Lakers players were aggressively going after him, there was no time to go after the Lakers players in those moments. They were trying to protect Stewart from himself.

Gotta give props to Cade for doing everything he could to stop Stewart. While it was mainly coaches and staff trying to restrain Stewart Cade was the only player willing to hold him back.

Great young leader.

Total Lebron cheap shot

That clearly shows that it was 100% intentional.

Veteran grey beard Sheed is a coach now. End of career Sheed would have been a great mentor for Stewart I think.

Yeah, he's been really victimized by the NBA, poor guy. The sense of entitlement some pro athletes have is incredible.

That was a text book "Ho ho hold me back" dragged out for 10 minutes. I love drama but he should have shut it down after the first couple of fake berzerks.

I actually had some issue with the holier than thou comments from AD after the game. While I totally agree Beef Stew lost his cool and should have left the building the first go around - it's just a freaking game of basketball - I also totally get the anger at first. Cheap shot from someone that knows how easy it is to hurt someone at this game. And you know for sure that if AD or Lebron or especially Westbrook got intentionally smacked on the head causing blood to sprout all over they would have gone after someone.

Please...

I was watching with some other people.
My comment at the time was "Why did Westbrick get T'ed?"

I'm still amazed that the league had the balls to hand LeBron more than a Flagrant 1.

That's what I was thinking. And we don't know what Lebron was saying to him when they were face to face either. He could have been running his mouth.

Yeah I don't believe it was a concussion, he literally just saw red after the blood started flowing down his eyes and along with Lebron's nonchalant "can't do no evil" look set him off. It can happen to anyone after a bad day or whatever going on so I don't blame him for letting it go the way it did. He does need to tone it down a couple notches though, so he can actually stay on the court and not rack up fouls like he usually does

I don't think his anger at being punched in the face was signs of a concussion, it was the unbalanced standing and glossed over look that leads me to believe he got his bell rung real good. Being pissed off is totally normal in that situation.
