Refs made the right decision taking Lebron out.

If Lebron had remained in the game, maybe another Piston would've ended up hurting Lebron.

Over half the Eastern Conference still have better records on the road than they have at home.

Indiana and Atlanta have great home records and catastrophic road ones, but the rest of the conference's non-horrible teams are traveling well.

And given their tepid fan support, Atlanta's home games might as well be on the road. ;)

Maybe it’s the angle of the camera but it doesn’t look like LeBron tried to elbow Stewart in a dirty way. If watch the reaction of Pistons players before Stewart get up none of them are upset. As much as I enjoy rooting against LeBron I don’t think he did much wrong here.

Rewatch in slow speed.

Lebron looks at stewart after a pause in his movement, closes his fist and increases the velocoty of his swing.

It was intentional

He did too. I didn't see that and i watched it 3-4 times. Have to watch at the slowest speed to catch it.

So what led up to this? That was clearly a cheap shot by LeBron but I've never seen him do it before.

LBJ was cuffing his arm with his inner arm/elbow area, Stewart pushed LBJ with his elbow to free his arm and lebron dropped the elbow. I didn't need the slomo to see the arm grab, lebron wasn't trying to free HIS arm, he was the initial aggressor. Lebron clearly slung his elbow back, there was acceleration there. He may not have intended to hurt him, but he intended to throw the bow!

Edit: the freedawkins YT video is better than the BR one. It shows the arm hold angle in the beginning and the elbow drop at the end.

Good call shak. This video shows the camera from over the back board. You can see the cheap shot much clearer

Well, the cheap shot had the desired effect. The Lakers were down 12 when it happened but went on to win the game.

gotta give Curmudgeon props for touting Isaiah Stewart pre-draft. I think Stewart's good enough that this won't be the only thing he'll be known for, but I'm seeing "Beef Stew" as a nickname and love it.

Amazing how long a career LeBron's had without getting into it hardly ever.

Stewart is our hero today haha but just to mention it there are quite a few Pistons fans saying he's a total bonehead with an uncontrollable temper and it hurts his game and career. I guess there have been other incidents with him that have made some fans a little sour.

Did Stewart just take awhile to boil over with anger?
Did he get freaked when the blood ran down his face?
Or was he really stunned or concussed for a few minutes before losing his mind?

It kind of looked like an ordinary NBA cheap shot to me that happened to draw a lot of blood.

I guess he went in Lebron's face to ask what was that about and didn't like his response

Mo Bamba was -39 in 20 minutes today. Not easy to do. In other futility news, Franz Wagner went 0-9 (0-3 from 3) for 0 points and Lonzo went 0-7 (0-4 from 3) for 0 points.

Desmond Bane 28/4/4/2 with 2 turnovers with the best +/- by a wide margin of +11 (15) tonight in a steal of a win vs Utah.
