PG Orlando: Bucks Cruise to 4th Straight

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Tue Nov 23, 2021 3:16 am

Starters all played low minutes. Yeah it’s Orlando but we’ve struggled against bad teams, against ALL teams. Good win.

Orlando scrubs >>> Bucks scrubs.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Bardo is better than Novak but it’s an extremely low bar. Marques is taking more games off than usual, I hope he’s not winding down his career.

I have no idea why we’re putting guys in positions to fail, like having Hood and Nwora play point guard.

I think, as is often the case unless you have a superstar bench, our bench looks especially depleted right now because of injuries. If we get Brook and DDV back, the bench suddenly looks a lot better. That's not to say depth - especially at C - isn't an issue; rather, it's to say that the depth right now looks especially bad because of the situation we're in.

So much for tanking the season

Not really an issue when Bobby is putting in 20 points as a spot starter, Pat is putting up 14 in a half, and even Hill is doing fine this last 5 game stretch.

It was scrub time and with the Bucks' injuries they didn't have enough players for a complete team...I kinda enjoyed RL playing against 6'7 post players- bless his heart.

Exactly...When healthy, the Bucks' 9-10 man rotation is excellent. They need another post player which we all knew anyway.

Don't need a post player, now that the Bucks are becoming comfortable with their defensive positioning in a different scheme, the rebounding is becoming quite good.

Say no to RoLo, he's still god awful.

If the Bucks add anything, it's a 3rd PG that can defend.

Can't say I would mind if we could fast forward a couple of months of regular season

The couple possessions Robinson was the main handler were good ones and we already know Nwora’s handle is a bugaboo, he’s good receiving passes and making jump shots or floaters and occasional dirty work.

Good to see Jrue make some shots in this one. Hopefully a step in the right direction for him. Need both him and Giannis to get back to normal shooting/finishing wise.

This is the Danny Leroux rule. As he always says, it isn’t always about the loss of the guy who got injured, but rather how the guys down a rung or two on the depth ladder can handle bigger roles.

Bobby must be loving putting up 20/10 and actually winning. He and Grayson have been very productive for us.

Yep, this stretch has made him a Fantasy Basketball asset too. Good to see him form a formidable tandem with Giannis in the frontcourt.

Pat's now shooting 40% from 3 on 7 attempts a game. It's been really fun to see him go from 9th-11th guy earlier in his Bucks career to a genuine starter-level 2. The fact we have him on a bargain contract that everyone hated when it was signed makes it that much sweeter.

In the game thread a couple of posters mentioned that Nwora should shoot more. He took the second-most shots on the team. And made only 5 of 13 shots. In what world would him taking more shots be a good thing?
