Looks like they will be there, and with the injuries around Clippers, Nuggets, Mavs depending on KP health, they can do some damage.
They could use and extra pair of hands from the bench to help out though

They've had a brutal schedule in that 6 game losing streak but seem to be taking full advantage of a weaker one.
We're about 20 games in the season, what do you think of them?
Yes more than Dallas and my preseason prediction was something like:
1. Lakers
2. Jazz
3. Suns
4. Denver
5. Golden State
6. Clippers
7. Minnesota
8. New Orleans
9. Memphis
10. Dallas
I thought it will be like that. Among other things NO has been a total wreck

They are certainly a play in team unless sacramento or the pels can catch them (if zion gets back and is still dominant). Could easily get a regular playoff slot as well with the talent they have. Legit big 3 on offense (but still figuring out how to play together, since they barely did last year), and a good team D so far this year. Love watching the wolves!

They could be with their talent. But towns needs to commit to defense first. The center position is so important in the nba in regards to defense. Even slow foot Jokic has effort on defense with technique.
Towns has so much more potential with his athletic ability to play on defense.

Correct.
Surprised he isn’t talked about more.
He’s simply an incredible defender.
And he may be the best offensive rebounder in the game.

They'll go as far as Vanderbilt can carry them. They've looked completely different ever since they swapped him in for McDaniels in the starting lineup.

I've felt pretty positively about the Wolves this year even when we were losing. D'lo was ice cold but otherwise he looked pretty good. KAT and Edwards were/are playing erratically but I loved the energy. The defensive effort has been very encouraging all season. Im not making any predictions because bad stuff always happens to the Timberwolves, but I feel strongly this team has a pretty high ceiling they haven't reached yet but quite easily could.

Re: Are the Timberwolves a playoff team?
The Western conference has been decimated by injuries and the Timberwolves are in a great position to take advantage of that. So yeah I think they'll at least make the play-in as long as Edwards and KAT stay relatively healthy.

Only if they stay healthy, they should have been in last year but injuries decimated them with Karl/DLo/Beasley being out most of the season

I think those saying flat out no haven't watched much ball this year. Certainly not of Minnesota, and maybe other teams as well.

if one makes it it will be the kings. way more talent consistent and not as toxic of a culture.
wolves i dont like any single member there for winning. the winning play is edwards for simmons it doesnt matter if edwards is better bc towns and simmons are the best big duo and perennial playoff contender for next 5 yrs.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Kings have no chance this year, unfortunately. Can't be a playoff team with your main guy (Fox) playing as bad as they currently are. Gentry is going to have to work some miracles for it to happen.
It wouldn't surprise me to see the Timberwolves in the playoffs. They have the talent to do it. Right now the Warriors, Jazz & Suns are only teams I see as locks to make it. Also the Mavericks and Lakers to a lesser extent. A lot of teams are going to be fighting for those other spots.

No. They are a Play-In team.

We're still getting 3 year old takes on KAT?
When's the last time you watched him play basketball?

They will be in the play-ins for sure if...
1) ...they stay healthy and...
2) ...don't suddenly remember that they are the Wolves.
They look really solid. 11th in SRS, 8th in NetRtg so far this season, for the entire league. Even 5-6 place isn't impossible, the field is wide open.
