They have 2 great rookies in sengun and green..and they want to tnk more for a giy like chet holmgrem.. the fillers can be compensated by the gazillion of picks they have

Like what I said last tjme they decided to play nba ball which is high offense usage and not the obsolete and 1 hard effort on d basketball.. Jalen needs to do catch and shoot or pass the way garrison matthews do it..

I guess the Rockets want nothing to do with Chet Holmgren and Paolo Banchero? I dunno why they want to make a run at a wild card spot all of a sudden.

Sengun potential to be more of a sabonis and less of a jokic..seems the next best big after mobley.. not bad oa haul for houston in this draft.. chet as kirilrenko like modern version of gobert is home run for them..

Sengun's stats may not be flashy largely due to minutes/foul limitations, but he has a case for being the #2nd best talent this year, yes even ahead Wagnar/Barnes/Giddey.

His flashes of capability is simply incredible.

Gordon might be a nice grab for a team before the deadline (cough, Sixers)

How do Rockets fans feel about trading Wood to continue the rebuild, or including him as part of the rebuild?

The thing is no one was worse than the Rockets by a mile. We were 1-16 and it looked like we were never getting another W. That is not hyperbole. We were really really awful. A total embarrassement to the game. So to go from that to winning now 6 in a row is pretty crazy. It doesn't even matter if a good chunk of those teams were also cellar dwellers.

I wouldn’t mind keeping wood, but I would be open to trading him for a young player like Kuminga.

The warriors are in win now mode. Wood would put them over the top.

That sounds like a win-win to me. Would give Sengun more burn as well which a lot of people have been clamoring for

Wood is the best player and he’s part of the young core. Moving him to his natural position at C is the main reason for the winning streak. He’s not going anywhere unless the return is insane.

He should demand a big pay in 2023. Moreover, there is a logjam with Sengun. In addition to that, Wood can disrupt the tanking by winning too many games.

I think Houston will trade him if receives a good offer.

I fear GSW is not interested in Wood. They are playing great now. They might think Looney, Bjelica, and Wiseman are enough. They are ambitious enough to try to have the cake and eat it too. Win now and develop rookies for a return in about 3 years.

1. Wood is worth a big payday.
2. There’s no logjam with Sengun because Wood is much better and there’s 48 minutes of C every game.
3. If they win, they win. If they lose, they lose. You don’t trade a player like Wood for nothing just because some draft nerds want to tank for 47 years.

Wood and Sengun are Centers, there will be eventually a long-term logjam at the Center position. It is a waste of Sengun's time playing him only 15 minutes a game against reserves.

Besides Wood is a UFA. He may change teams in 2023. Players usually don't like to play in young teams. I don't think Houston will be a playoff contender anytime soon. I think Houston will pull the trigger if a good offer appears.

regardless of whether green is bust or not, its pretty clear to me build around sengun and trade green for top 5 pick next yr. you cant let him bust like wiseman and hope he pulls edwards. team culture will be destroyed with 60 losses.
