If the Rays had any kind of bullpen we'd already be in the division lead :nonono:

With Boston idle, we have a chance to cut the lead to 1 game with 7 to play.

This could quite possibly come down to the final day of the season.

Call me crazy but I have a good feeling we'll get to Burnett today..part of it is gut feeling and part is his day/night splits for '07:

Day Games: 1-4 with a 5.25 ERA
Night Games: 8-3 with a 2.56 ERA

Home: 6-2 with a 2.62 ERA
Away: 3-5 with a 4.24 ERA

Part of why stats are overrated. Maybe this means that he likes to go out and get bombed on the road and is hungover during the day? Burnett looks like he pretty much shut us down today.

EDIT: Litsch started, wasn't Burnett supposed to?

He got scratched without any explanation as far as I know. I bet they subbed in Litch because they thought Burnett would get bombed. They just want to play spoiler like the loser team they are. -Jitpal

Burnett was a late scratch for personal reasons. Litsch pretty much shut us down. That loss makes it highly unlikely we catch Boston. Basically would need to go 6-0 and hope Boston loses a couple games at home to Oakland or Minnesota.

lols was waitin for sum1 2 say that.. :D

The Wild Card isnt really that bad of a way 2 get a ticket to da playoffs this year. I no the Yankees have the team of being a Division leaders but the way we started we should glad we made the playoffs.

And hey the previous wild card teams hass been wild card team y not keep the streak goin and make add another wild card team championship?
