Don't think it's fair to characterize this board's judgment of Cade as being hyperbolic - a lot of us just said that he didn't really show anything that made him stand out as a number one pick. Remember how we'd watch Giannis as a rookie and he'd do one thing a game that made you think "wow, this kid could be something"? There just wasn't that moment with Cade during our games against the Pistons. Nobody was really saying "wow, he's an Anthony Bennett level bust", but there were definitely some concerns (which I feel were all qualified with "hope he figures it out") in comparison to what some of the other members of this rookie class has shown.

FWIW I had Cade as the top guy in the draft and I think Mobley's hands-down the guy in a redraft. Draft class looking really strong, I don't even think Cade is necessarily the #2 guy. I certainly don't blame Detroit for taking him, I just think they've got a generation of "What Ifs" coming at them.

Jalen Green at #2 looking like the worse pick, clearly, but he's got a lot of room to grow and could do it.

You can get tickets to Memphis vs Philly for $3/each.

The Shams article on Kyrie potentially returning was really weird. Talks about it happening, but then never says what the resolution is to the continuing vax issue. Looks like Shams is basically Kyrie's hype man at this point.

I'm not picking on you or em. I don't doubt there were some level headed and cautious takes, and I too am definitely (at least now) a much bigger fan of Mobley. But you know very well there were some hot takes too :D Between here and r/NBA - which I may be conflating a bit - there was no shortage of bust talk and rough comparisons. I believe someone said his ceiling was Evan Turner or something like that? Lol.

Totally fair, and I think the nature of Reddit vs. this board is that Reddit's relative anonymity (versus here, where people still remember hot takes from years ago - s/o to SneakyPete the fallen prophet) allows those grand proclamations. But yeah, we definitely have some bad take artists here that makes your criticism fair, upon further consideration.

Cam Reddish seems like a guy who will be a top notch role player in 2 or 3 years. Wish we could get him.

Someone else may have made the same comparison but I said "I see Evan Turner but a better leader". He's also going to be a much better shooter than Turner ever was but similarly has average size, good but not elite athleticism, lacks defensive or high end creator upside and was a top 3 pick. Cunningham is going to be a solid player for Detroit but I don't expect him to ever be better than a fringe all-star player. If that was interpreted as "ceiling is Turner" I didn't intend that.

Y'all I promise I wasn't keeping receipts with this much detail and I'm not trying to come after anyone individually. I'm not that guy  I have no idea who said what and am going on recall. But, certainly welcome to clear-up your position if you'd like :)

PJ finishes with 23/9/5 tonight. 100% should still be a Buck.

The way he's surprisingly got his offensive game back (and more) is a really really bad look on the Bucks.

Ya maybe kyrie needs a couple hype guys in the media so he can sort of back away from his stance.

Build enough hype about the return so he can glaze over the mountain he climbed on.

That's a huge over reaction.

Hell Caleb Martin had a huge game the other night against us. To put it another way, I don't think Charlotte is missing him...

With Butler, Bam and Captain Amazing Caleb Martin out someone has to take shots. And they still lost by 11.

He's only scoring 7 points a night so I don't want to go too crazy here but he's doing more than just standing in a corner or be under the basket for an offensive rebound. Seems like there's way more variety in his game this year. Was a bit of a shock watching him drop the left shoulder into our guys and flip in some hook shots.

DJA leads big comeback win over the Hawks
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I was very hesitant on the warriors after their hot run but I’m all the way in now. I can see some ways they have problems offensively come playoff time, but that defense is crazy good and most importantly versatile.

Draymond is running away with dpoy (Giannis is solidly in second place imo).

Cant wait for Kidd to tell the Mavs they are the 8 seed and first round exit because they are too young and don't know how to win yet.
