Sucks that across multiple leagues the fans are going to have to endure a version of scabs. Just take some games off the schedule and ride this wave out.

I'm anticipating the tix at the end of Feb that we got for our boys for Christmas will be fan free or fan reduced.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

TBH, I don't love the Gray Allen extension. You're either investing that much in a sixth man while you're around the luxury tax threshold, or you're pricing him into being a starter, & pushing Middleton up to the 3, crowding out a potential 3&d specialist to cover star big wings, i.e. Leonard, Durant, James, etc.

If Pat got under 10, I think I'd re-sign him for the 6th man spot, and flip Gray. Bobby's demonstrating he can be a starter for you, he's still got father time on his side, and we must have made a promise to get the discount this year; so he gets payroll priority. If you need to clear further space, deal DiVo at the deadline in addition to Brook by the offseason.

The priorities, imo, are: 1. Bobby, 2. 3&d big wing, 3. Pat on the prime real estate discount.

I think Bobby as a starter is the squeeze. Moving Middleton to SF is fine. But putting Bobby as 4 with a bigger contract pushes Brook or another Center out of the payroll and forces Giannis to guard those guys. Portis isn’t going to take on Embiid, Jokic, or other bigs effectively.

I still like Bobby, but for me has to be a 6th man and we still need a serviceable big center to log 20-25 min a game in the regular season.

Imbiid no longer scores or plays in the post, all he does is shoot mid range jumpers. Bobby would have no issues with him, but Imbiid will have a tough time guarding Bobby.

Regardless Giannis owns JoJo.

I have no idea if it's allowed, but if you could trade Bobby+Brook for Sabonis right now would you do it?

The Hood signing is looking rough even if it was for a small amount. He looked done as an NBA player last year and still looks done. I kind of doubt they'll be willing to cut him and eat his salary to open up his roster spot.

Probably not, Portis' production this season is just about on par with what Sabonis is currently giving Indy.

True... Plus Bobby takes way more 3's, which we need. And he makes them at 40%, which I only just noticed now :o

I would never trade Portis. Reward his loyalty. Pay him on his next contract too

Gordon is one of the worst contacts in the League. Do you realize he makes $18.2 million this year, and then has 2 years/$39 million after this year?

That's a ton for a shooter he was out shot by Donte the last 2 years, and offers nothing defensively.

Yeah we'll need to pay someone to take him off our hands, but we should do that. We have several better players playing for the Herd.

you dont have to have all 4 positions on the floor at once

Can't forget the coveted 3/4 combo-forward. Guys like KD, Tatum, Tobes, OG, Ingram, pre-injury MPJ, Jerami Grant, Scottie and Harrison Barnes

I think I'd want to see how Donte looks before moving on from him. I think if he is healthy, he helps us much more for the playoff push than Gordon, outside of maybe scoring the ball at a higher clip.

I would gladly trade DDV and Lopez for an equally valuable player who is fully healthy and therefore more likely to help this year, even if it's just a rental, but I don't know how you find a trade partner for that. A decent playoff team isn't trading that player for injury risks like Brook and DDV, and a rebuilding team isn't interested in Brook anyway. Maybe a bad team in denial about needing to rebuild like Portland would be interested in a half-assed rebuilding year while still hoping Brook can help them next year? Nurkic and Nance Jr. have some appeal. I would also suggest Covington, but he has apparently been awful this year.

ha.. youre right.

this would probably be more accurate

the 1/2/3
the 2/3/4
the 3/4/5
the 5

If I understand correctly, the Bucks will be required to sign 2 hardship players.

My first 2 options, Kornet and Gabriel, have already been signed.

the nets signed 3 in the last week that would have worked on a short term contract for the bucks.

someone joked about it in this thread, but if Ersan is in shape. . .
