Someday the Bucks will right the final wrong of the pre-Bud era and Joel Embiid will take his rightful place in a Bucks uniform next to Giannis. I just hope that day is before all the cartilage in Embiid's knees has evaporated.

Was going to say I'm super surprised nobody has called up Terry Taylor yet, but apparently the Pacers signed him to a 2 way.

Would love to know what the Bucks are doing here. Did we not actually have anybody test positive? What's going on?
We've got 4 guys in protocols and no replacements.

If GIannis and Donte are back in 3-4 days and no one else has tested positive there is no need to sign anyone. That may/probably will change going forward but right now there is no need.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I thought the rule was they were *required* to sign players if they have 2 or more positive tests?

I'll have to look it up, so you are required to sign players just in case you might need them? I guess that makes sense since guys can go on the list at any time and they don't want to postpone more games.

Won't Giannis and Donte be on a minutes restriction as well? Or am I missing the rules of the hardship that they would then be over a roster limit?
Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.

The stuff I read was that those were the rules agreed upon but I didn't see anything about implementation. What I read was you *can* sign a replacement 10 day if you have a positive test, but you *have* to sign somebody if you have more than 1 positive test, and for every additional positive test. Essentially you have to have a replacement number equal to the number of positive tests minus one.
Not clear if the deadline for that signing is like final injury report before gameday or after some post-test grace period or what. Or what other timing issues (like expecting somebody back within a couple days, like you said) would make you exempt or not trigger the requirement.

How restricted Giannis will be will be based on if he had symptoms or if he's been able to keep working out on his own. Donte will be on a restriction due to his injury.

FWIW I don't think it's any great tragedy the Herd are losing all these guys, but I hope they retain returning rights. It's just annoying.
There are, imo, clear NBA role players in the G League that to my knowledge have not yet been signed (Arcidiacono, DaQuan Jeffries), but the numbers are dwindling.

Will all the xmas games be glorified G-League games? Doesn't Gianni's quarantine end just before?

Suns and Warriors are basically still at full health (minus Klay). But yeah pretty much every other game will be missing guys because of covid.CharityStripe34 wrote:Will all the xmas games be glorified G-League games? Doesn't Gianni's quarantine end just before?

Yeah pausing the whole league doesn't make sense because it's likely to be a whack a mole situation where new teams will likely have issues throughout the season. Just the reality of this season that at times teams will be shorthanded for a couple weeks.
Plus I'm sure the league is desperate to get back to a regular calendar year/off-season so will do everything they can to keep this season on schedule.

I guess the goal is to just let teams make decisions on health.
Player tests positive but isn't feeling any symptoms - ok go play.
Player tests positive and is feeling symptoms and can barely stand "DNP - Flu like symptoms".
