I think atleast timing wise, this might not be as devastating for Wolves as it has been for some other teams...Wolves play Mavs and Jazz in next 2 games...Mavs also will be missing lot of players (Luka will be out and even Kleber has entered covid protocols, KP is questionable). Jazz game is a tough one anyways. After Jazz game, Wolves won't be playing again until 12/27. They have a 3 day rest which should give enough time for some of the players to return from covid protocols. If we can atleast Ant back for the 12/27 game, that should ease up the crisis.

Yeah...if we can get this next Mavs game, we can pretty much take the L against the Jazz without anything happening to us in the standings; Lakers play Suns next and Mavs are right under us so we get some wiggle room if we beat them and Portland & Sac are 3 losses back of us.

We just have to have Ant, V8 & Bev all test negative and come back ASAP or we just gotta get through it like every other team out there

Warriors' Draymond Green Calls Out Karl-Anthony Towns for Russell Westbrook Comments

Idk what's wrong with these guys and the comments about other players, the other day was that stupid comment of Edwards about Rudy, now KAT with Westbrook. Just win some games, make some noise and then say whatever you want. And even if that happens, just shut up man.

What good comes of KAT calling Westbrook a stat chaser? That certainly doesn't help the Wolves the next time we play against the Lakers and Westbrook dials it up to 11.

the full quote isn't bad...infact he praises Westbrook a lot but yeah I just wish he didn't make that comment about chasing stats even though most of the NBA fans know that it's true.

“He chases stats. But I think he’s a hell of a player, though. I don’t care what anyone says—you know how hard it is to get a triple-double? You know how hard it is? And he play hella hard. I just think that sometimes he plays too quick. He tries to do too much.”

You're right it's not the worst thing KAT could have said. My point is that there is nothing the team can gain from KAT saying something negative / controversial about another player out of nowhere. It may help KAT score brownie points with some twitch streamer trying to generate clicks, but that is self serving.

KAT does deserve some slack though since he is usually very composed in his media appearances.

There must be a shortage of reality TV drama for those comments to be this big of a deal. People have said far worse and more personal towards KAT, even on this board.

Watching Timberwolves over the last 6-7 years has made me realize importance of effective ball handlers that can also be a scoring threat...that's why I think how Nowell pans out is going to be extremely critical for Wolves future. He does have the ability to be an effective ball handler + scoring threat...he has shown promise in last few weeks. If he can do this over longer stretches, that will instantly raise the ceiling of this roster

Scoring was never Nowell’s problem. His defense and his handle have been the issues. With regard to his handle he is somewhere between a PG and a SG, but with PG level passing and BBIQ. Where I worry is in trapping situations or full court pressure situations Nowell might turn the ball over. That said, he is worlds above JMAC and could easily slot in for some regular minutes behind Beverly or Dlo.

I thought this was kind of fun

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/nba-player-ratings/

RAPTOR says the #13 player in the NBA is … D’Angelo Russell! Look him up on the chart and he sits right next to Embiid

Other Wolves include #28 Jarred Vanderbilt, #54 Patrick Beverley, #73 Anthony Edwards, and #83 .. Karl-Anthony Towns!

That’s how the 126 minute starting line up compares to what other teams have gotten to do. Sixth least.

Transition defense needs to be better..Wolves are very bad when it comes to Fast Break points scored by opponents or points scored in transition. KAT needs to look at the ball instead of just slowly jogging back when he is getting back on defense in transition. It feels like an easily fixable flaw if the coaches can point it out
