Re: Tracking Former Wizards 3.0
Garrison Matthews with his first start of the year... and he drops 20! Glad to see he has apparently landed on his feet. Was going to be disappointed if he had been forced to go to Europe. Honestly, wish he were still here instead of Bertans!

We always knew that Garrison belonged in the NBA, since he got called-up from the G-League Houston has been winning some games and he has shot 50% from 3 the last couple of games, I wish we had kept him....and yes Matthews all-day over Bertans.

Grats to Jemmario Jones for signing a 10-day contract with the Lakers. He was playing as a backup for the Wisconsin Herd.

Suns view JaVale McGee as missing piece to championship puzzle
The high-energy veteran is having a career-best season with Phoenix while proving to be the ideal backup center.

5 ex-Wizards suited up for that game! Otto Porter, Gary Payton II, JaVale McGee, Chris Chiozza & Chandler Hutchison.
They combined to go 18-32, including 5 3-pointers, & 2-2 from the line. That's a .67 TS%

Dang, I had written-off "Grimace", GSW took a flyer on him at only $2,389,641 and he's a UFA. Good for him, if he is 100% healthy finally, he will get nice little contract. Both former Wizard Forwards Oubre and Porter have been playing pretty-good, Beal/Wall problem?

No. Porter was better here than anywhere. His decline in Chicago was injury related.
Oubre wasn't very good in Phoenix or Golden State either. He is coming into his own now mostly because he has finally matured enough to figure out how best to contribute to winning basketball.

Re: Tracking Former Wizards 3.0
In 2016-17 & 2017-18, Otto Porter was one of the best young players in the game. I called him our best player at the time, & I'll stick with that.
Then his body gave out. If he's really healthy, sustainably healthy, there's no reason he shouldn't be one hell of a player again.

He didn't have a young peak like Grant Hill or Derrick Rose, but he could have a second half of his career that looks similar to them at the same point in their careers.
