THT is lost out there. Got hyped because of a couple of plays against Houston in the playoffs. Now people gameplan against him and he has absolutely 0 idea of what to do when he gets the ball. Hence we get these weird ass fadeaways from him 2 times a game that barely hits the rim.

Unless that Grant trade miraculously goes through we are stuck with THT for better or worse. 21 years old but he needs to show some sign of improvements on his overall game. His one move to the basket is that reverse layup and teams have effectively taken that away completely.

You want a cookie for him being a scrub at 21? Russ got paid for past contributions and production but THT is more overpaid than him, he got a check based off jack squat

At 21 Kobe was a multiple time all star, nba champ, all nba, all defense, and outplaying shaq both ways in game 7
At 21 Magic was ready to lead the Lakers to a title
At 21 Andre Bynum was the second best center in the league next to Dwight.
At 21 Dwight was an all time defensive great, the best center in the league
At 21 Melo was an all star, top scorer, and taking Denver to a winning record out west
At 21 Lebron was a mvp candidate and leading his team to the playoffs
At 21 Russ was a starting point guard on a team that needed Kobe to guard him to stop them
At 21 Rondo was the starting point guard to 3 hall of farmers and making decisions of who eats
At 21 AD was putting up 24 and 10 while his team won 45 games out west with Tyreke Evans lol


I don’t give a **** if he’s 21, if he sucks. And he’s sucked. He didn’t deserve to be starting over Monk this season and no one who watched basketball would say he earned or played his way into it. He is mediocre defensively to the point Melo, Monk, Reeves were all playing over him. He’s not producing.

And let’s call real ****, real ****. Kuzmas was 18 and 8 his first two years, he was making pennies compared to tht but he produced as a starter. He played better defensively last year and it got to the point when AD and Bron were out THT sucked ass so much Kuzma was the secondary ball handler and playmaker to Dennis, and no one in history would praise his vision. And he’s doing the little **** and dealing with the **** he has to do to win games like he did here when he gave up being a starter and minutes to win, as he does their dirty work there like KCP.

Randle took years to produce and even then he took thibs to play defense as he was a disaster in New Orleans too with fans booing him for his bad offense and defensive lapses which is why he wasn’t offered to return there. Ingram still hasn’t helped a team even be play in relevant and we are in yet another year of his team sucking like he’s Shareef Abdul Raheem while he scores and doesn’t defend or do anything to win games. Hart is a mediocre role guy who is playing on a deal that has no guaranteed years or money after this one with the multiple team options he had to accept to be signed. Bryant isn’t even a starter in Washington and Zumba is a part time center who isn’t even the equivalent of Javale. Lastly we got Zo who has improved to being close to his younger brother who came in the league and outplayed him from jump The fact is none of those players helped this team win and besides Zo who is firmly riding the back of Derozan, Lavine, and Vucevic he’s a 4th cog himself.


It’s not been Melo, Monk, Bron, or even AD that has hurt this team. It’s trading for Russ when they could have dealt for Hield to be their shooter while retaining KCP and Caruso that hurt them. And yes they would have retained them as Kuzma told Arenas on his podcast he was already told he was going to Sacramento with Trez for Buddy. And it was the prioritizing of THT over Caruso and then doubling down on it and him sucking ass and getting none earned time and starts over Monk, Reeves, Melo, and a number of people outplaying him that hurt worse. I mean if they would have dealt his ass for Lowry last year, they would have been better off too as they could have not even looked the way of Russ and gotten the flexibility to flip Kuzma and Trez for Derozan then too

But to fix the problem they need to do 3 things
- Get out from Russ baggage like Lebrun got out Thomas/Rose/Wade and the Ingram bs
- Sell Tuckers ass because he’s sucked ass,and package Nunn damaged ass with him for salary purposes


We talking about 21, not his game, not his game not his lack of production, not his bad defense, not his non existent shooting, but saying but but but he’s 21 like there have not been multiple 21 year old lakers who killed this league and like his team doesn’t have 5 guys at 21 who were god damn beasts and let their play, not their potential do the talking for them.

first of all, yeah he's clearly looking at a regression right now and I agree he needs to get back to progression, but-
Look at his per vs Ingram or any of those guys. He's not a throw away article and Grant is horribly overpaid at 20 mill per year and 7 years in the league playing PF. Nah. also look at Grant vs THT on the career progression arc on basketball reference... THT is eating him alive.

We need youth of some sort and trading for it is expensive, the temptations to move him is fools gold if it's not a crap old has been plus him for a youthful stud. (aka not going to happen).
