Nobody was saying it was good they had Covid. How would you know how people felt? I think we're only saying, remember the value of human life and keep it separate from the feelings we have about the sport.

The cold indifference and apathy; how shocking. And no one came to poor Noel's defense.
Where was the parade of sympathy and tears, flowers and fruit baskets for his family?![]()
As was so truthfully mentioned, everyone here has agendas.
I came to his defense…. The other individual in true Knicks fan fashion was celebrating him getting Covid and hoping he would give it to Randle. Great bunch of people here

Besides conditioning after being shut down for however many days? Randle is gonna be fine. These protocols make no sense being that virtually every player in the league is vaccinated. What's the point of all this?
Embiid said he didn't think he was going to make it and Tatum came back from covid the first time requiring an inhaler.
KAT lost a large number of family members - although no evidence it came from him. Others have lost people, too. If a young, healthy, vaccinated person (NBA player type) can spread Covid, others can die, too. They count, even if they don't play in the NBA.
That stuff with embiid and Tatum (Rose had a bad case too iirc) were all pre-vaccine though right? Now these players are vaccinated so should have a better time of it

Nobody is saying it’s good Randle got Covid either. They’re just saying it’s good they don’t have to watch him play basketball. It’s really not that deep.

So in other words they’re saying it’s good he got Covid so they don’t have to watch him play basketball. At least we got our priorities in order lol

Agree it's good for the team he's not playing. Just sounded like a few were glad he's in the protocols. Keep that in perspective, and I'm fine seeing how we play without him.

Embiid was vaccinated, but he's anemic and 280lbs

I lost a long time friend - he went to the ER, was told he was fine, but 2 days later was admitted straight to the ICU, and he was gone within a week. This was in April '20, and that kind of thing sticks with you. He wasn't nearly as young as the NBA players, but he was a healthy guy. Another friend has had "long term" Covid symptoms. It's just not always that easy, and some players haven't had much energy when they first return. Yes, vaccines really help but we've lost so many people. Maybe 10 times how many die from the flu most years. So it's just not something to laugh off. I'm glad for all those who are vaxxed and being careful. Like all of you, I really need to see us put the pandemic behind us and get on with regular life.

I’m confident he’s not going to die of the illness but I put it in the same category as celebrating an injury. Injured guys aren’t gonna die either but it’s still kinda shittuy to celebrate it

Hey all you c*cks and p*ssies.
Things you'll learn with Randle being out:
The ball movement is better.
The defense will be better.
That Obi isn't really that good when he gets top tier defensive attention for 35 minutes. He'll wow and look like LFT at the same time.
That Obi won't get 35 minutes anyway.
That RJ will look a tiny bit better as the ball moves more and maybe the Knicks get out on the break.
That RJ ultimately isn't that great right now and it isn't Randle or Thibs or the Knicks FO "holding him back"
That Burks is still >>>>>>>>>>>>> RJ
That several of you can gargle my nuts, which is your right and there is nothing wrong with it.

I have to say that reading all this stuff, including my own, without being able to respond to it, makes one realize how "Please use a more appropriate term" most of it is.

Hi.
I'm posting on behalf of my father, who you knew as "Thebuzzardman".
It's a long story, but after being banned, he became more mentally unstable than usual and his mood swings, always strange after Knicks wins and losses, took a more extreme edge. I think it was due to not being able to post about his beloved Knicks. While my dad was basically a decent person, he did occasionally show signs of being a "drunk uncle", though he chalked it up to satire and sarcasm, which he said people my age were less able to detect due to "oversensitivity". We debated this, but he just leaned harder into the bitter side of his personality and in his last days embraced right wing nationalism, QAnon and took to ranting on twitter. Then we found him hanging in the garage.
He said I should honor his memory by continuing to post about basketball, that there were a handful of posters who knew what they were talking about, but most everyone, like him, was just an assh*les staking out opinions and trying to win arguments. I don't follow sports or basketball, but he indicated I could learn about the game from some people on here, but none of them were mods.
He left us some money, mostly nice memories and a dirty Patrick Ewing jersey.
