TRoss 33 pts vs Celtics in a loss. Would be a nice pick-up for a playoff team

i think the 17/18 raptors were better - we just got punked by lebron. but we'll see what they do in the playoffs.

To my surprise watching highlights this morning, Bismack Biyombo is on the Suns and had 16/6/3 last night vs JV and the Pels

Former Raptor legend Valyombo put up 41/22/5/2/3. Bring him home?

I was curious how Kyle was doing down in Miami so I started a friendly thread on the Heat board asking what heat fans think of his play this year. Not as active a board as I thought it was - I only got 4 responses, but all from long-time posters with fair opinions. So as not to create a lot of drama over there I'll just copy their posts here for everyone's information. Probably a pretty accurate assessment I'd say, and imo a good indication that although he is still valuable, all things considered it was the right thing to let Kyle walk at his price tag.

Started off slow with his shots. He is a fantastic playmaker and still a guy that can give you buckets. His turnovers are a little higher than I was hoping for. There are times where hes automatic and some games where he cant make a shot. Great defender for his age and nice lille motor. I would grade him a B+ so far. I feel like once the team is fully healthy you'll notice the difference.

his passing abilities are golden to me the rest, is just meh. he should be a passing guy(see what i did there  ) first than anything else just like rondo is

also i dont like the fact that he constantly bitches at the refs for anything and everything. sometimes being stoic can be enough.

Largely in line with expectations. I had projected him out at 14/4/8 on 42% and he’s basically at those numbers. Has had a few invisible games and been a little passive offensively, but that’s expected as he gets used to new teammates and a new style of play.

He’s been good without being exceptional. I think if he can stay healthy, he should remain solid for the life of the contract he has. Hopefully.

Considering he is getting paid 30 mil its hard to answer. His true value should in theory become apparent in the playoffs. Right now during the regular season if someone said is Lowry worth his contract, the answer is clearly no.

I knew it was a massive overpay for Kyle... question is whether we should have just let him walk vs what was traded for him...

Yeah, I've been watching Bruno for years, and this is the most happy/confident I've ever seen him. I'd love to see him back in the NBA, especially with the Raptors, but he seems to be getting more and more sure of himself back in Brazil. Compare him now to the unsure of himself timid teenager and it's like night and day. Part of me sees him trying to come back to the NBA in the right situation, but I can also see him sticking it out and starring in the Brazilian leagues and making a name for himself in FIBA international competitions where he's become one of Brazil's best players.

For those who say he's not an NBA player, his successful run with Memphis showed he is, and he's only gotten better. He'd fit our team perfectly. Maybe a cheap Boucher replacement if we don't bring him back next year.

So what you're saying is...in fact he was 3 years from being 3 years away?

Also, how tall is Bruno now? He looks like Giannis !

Bismack Byombo had a couple good games for the Suns on a 10 day, now they signed him the rest of the season. They were committed to having 3 centers and with Kaminsky injured now they have Ayton, Javale and Biz.

But suggest that we add a vet like Biz or Cousins or any center really, to our core of only two, undersized non-scoring oft-injured centers and many posters are all, oh no that guys not good enough, we don't need him, doesn't fit, etc etc.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Yeah, I think he's ready. And yeah, he's pretty huge. If not Giannis' height, he looks like he has similar reach. Looks more explosive too. Not Giannis level, but still good for his size. Modern day small ball 5.
