He basically did the same thing to Trae a few nights before. (That hit caused Trae to miss the next game).

You don't need to root for a winning team to mock HeAT CuLTurE especially considering their behavior this year.
Sure, mock a CULTURE that's produced three championships and six finals appearances and finds countless undrafted gems while your team is continuously in the lottery drafting guys who will be playing in Istanbul in four years. Makes great sense.

I'll pretty happily watch my team win with their two best players sidelined and a revolving door of guys coming in and out of COVID protocols while you mock the culture that makes that happen. The Heat are 9 games over. 500 while relying on players like Max Strus, Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent, KZ Okpala, Ömer Yurtseven, and Kyle Guy.

Make fun of the culture, but understand that the culture is directly tied to the success...

The funny thing is I heard a lot of crying after Miami's bubble run that the unusual circumstances gave Miami an unfair advantage because Heat culture became so important in that kind of environment. Now people (and I'm gonna take a leap and say it's a lot of the same people, haters just like to hate regardless) want to laugh it off

Trae obviously didn't think so either and reacted a lot better than Herro did.

But it is twice in three nights and probably an indication that Nurkic is trying to assume an enforcer role on a bad defensive team. That type of thing doesn't usually end well.

Herro has to keep his clout game up can’t be shown getting laid out on a screen that’s too embarrassing

Just like in life there are good and bad things that stick out about Heat culture.

Good: The gritty style of play. Guys being 100% bought in with their effort. Culture of hard work being rewarded. Guys being held accountable.
The Bad: The fake tough guy actions. Heat players wanting to fight at the smallest slight.

To the Heat fans, prizing their culture as if its the only way to success, you guys are deluded.
Psychotic. It didn’t make sense. I don’t know how you make it make sense

I didn't read the whole thread, but I'm sure that the same Heat fans that were calling out Jokic for his push in the back are also up in arms about Herro for his.

What did Nurkic do?

Legal screen and then he gets pushed in the back.

He just tried to retaliate (to Herros face mind you) but didn’t even connect.

Remember when Spo cried about Jokic pushing Morris in the back? I hope he had that same energy for Herro.

It looks like he stands over him - talks chit- then begins to roll to the basket. Just seemed off from my viewing, and obviously Herro got in his feelings.

It looked like he stood over him like "wtf is that flop"

Hard screens do not automatically equal enforcer.
Big guys are allowed to set hard screens. Its 100% on your teammates to warn you about them.
Nukic went for the ball in that play against Trae. Please don't be this soft.

What’s Heat culture really? Getting lebron because he’s bffs with your star? Tbh y’all underachieved during those years. Best thing you guys got going is warm weather and no tax. Not this fake tough Heat culture

Right, and a championship before lebron, and a trip to the Finals after him, as well as a lot of developmental guys coming into the league and making names for themselves.

Hell, even LeBron called Miami college, where he could learn how to win.

Fines for both. No suspensions. Move on
If Nurk gets suspended, Herro should get a game too.

What's with the Heat players cheap shotting? The screen set by Nurkic was a clean screen. Herro got his feelings hurt, gets up and cheap shots him in the back. First Morris cheap shots Jokic, now Herro decides to go YOLO at Nurkic. He's lucky his teammate was there otherwise Nurk would've flattened him.

Yeah, no one was arguing against the success they've had.

Nice strawman though.

Duke4life831 wrote:Haha there is something just very funny whenever Herro tries to act all tough. Like after the Jokic/Morris thing, he acts like he is going to step up to Jokic then realizes he got up to Jokic way too quick and before any other players or refs were there so he couldn't do the "hold me back" thing and he slowly just walked off haha.

Haha if there was no chance of anyone holding back Nurkic, Herro would've been running for his life. In this you can see after the push once Nurkic gets up, Herro is constantly moving backwards right until everyone else gets involved, then he acts like he wants to step up to him haha.

Heat's image taking a rough hit so far this year. Also we going to get page after page of how dirty and dangerous what Herro just did???

Such good observation. I went back and watched a few more times, lol @ Herro's slowly walking back then step forward till everyone gets involved thing.

I'd like to add that they way Herro gets up is also pretty funny. He got up so quick and chased Nurk like chasing his jackpot lottery ticket blown into the wind. You can tell his feelings was hurt, or otherwise he would have controlled his emotion, acted like nothing happened, and tried to find a way to retaliate on the next possession.

I mean Herro needs to deal better with his frustration, it was a physical(and legal) play, a little bit of a staredown and that's it.

And he definitely tries to look tough, I mean, the whole NBA plays this game, but he would be destroyed by Nurk LOL
