I wonder if playing Pelle was just to see if he is worth keeping beyond his 10 day, or because we have a trade lined up involving Doke?

I only saw the first half, but man, we were really missing Gobert. We had no answer for Sabonis, who had a career high and nearly had a quadruple double. I was hopeful that we would get a little better D out of newcomer Pelle than we did.

Gobert Report and I talked about picking up Lance Stephenson off the scrap heap before the break last season to potentially bring a little toughness to the wing position, notwithstanding Stephenson's reputation for being difficult to manage. He had 14 assists, 4 steals and 17 points against us last night. It still remains to be seen whether he can turn his ten day contract with the Pacers in to a contract for the rest of the season, but he is off to a good start.

One thing I have learned about this team is that we can never trust it. They are a bunch of soft guys. How in the world they, well rested, lost to that under .500 team is beyond my understanding.

What a waste. What a joke.

I'm honestly not taking too much from this stretch. Whiteside just got back from concussion protocols, we are missing Rudy, etc. It's going to be rough as we figure out how to win without Rudy, but if we can go .500 for the games without him (and it is a soft spot in the schedule), that's a win. Think we should have gotten this one and Mitchell almost got it for us, but we have two games against Detroit and a game against Houston coming up along with some other winnable ones. 1-2 without Rudy so far.

Thought about this last night as he tore us apart.
Ingles is cooked.
