**** the unvaccinated.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1191568/reported-deaths-from-covid-by-age-us/

So, 75% of all COVID deaths in the US are 65+. 93.5% of all COVID deaths in the US are 50+. If the data were easily available, I'd reckon the remaining 6.5% of deaths are over-represented by individuals with a confluence of comorbidities.

Let's look at our comparatively healthier Canadian brethren: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1228632/number-covid-deaths-canada-by-age/

82.3% of all COVID deaths in Canada are 70+, 97.3% of all COVID deaths in Canada are 50+.

I believe your message should be **** the >50 unvaccinated.

He's not saying **** the unvaccinated for dying, he's saying **** the unvaccinated for spreading it. Obviously. And yes, the vaccinated can also spread it but even if they reach a similar viral load they clear it much more quickly decreasing the window in which they are contagious. To further that I would imaging a venn diagram of people that don't believe in masks, don't believe in social distancing, and don't believe in vaccination would have a pretty large center. It's all elements of a numbers game trying to save as many lives, vaccinated or unvaccinated, as possible while lessening the hell it's been putting our beleaguered medical community though. No facet by itself is enough and all of them together can only slow covid, especially now that omicron is changing up the dynamics, but slowing it is really important. Slowing it is what makes sure the lives that can be saved are saved. I know you in particular are way too smart not to see that.

Whatever that is supposed to mean, I doubt strongly I agree. Bill Gates is a jerk, and the only person with whom I've ever gotten into a shouting match with at a black tie party. He was a bad boyfriend to three of my friends, two of them at once. He was a distressingly effective monopolist, and to this day overvalues the importance of intellectual property, including in the context of vaccines.

Still, most of the nastiest things said about him are extremely implausible.

As per usual, it's misinformation from ddb:

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7101a4.htm

Summary
What is already known about this topic?

COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective against COVID-19–associated hospitalization and death.

What is added by this report?

Among 1,228,664 persons who completed primary vaccination during December 2020–October 2021, severe COVID-19–associated outcomes (0.015%) or death (0.0033%) were rare. Risk factors for severe outcomes included age ≥65 years, immunosuppressed, and six other underlying conditions. All persons with severe outcomes had at least one risk factor; 78% of persons who died had at least four.

What are the implications for public health practice?

Vaccinated persons who are older, immunosuppressed, or have other underlying conditions should receive targeted interventions including chronic disease management, precautions to reduce exposure, additional primary and booster vaccine doses, and effective pharmaceutical therapy to mitigate risk for severe outcomes. Increasing vaccination coverage is a critical public health priority.

CDC director is touting the efficacy of vaccines and getting taken out of context.

I would like to know where the misinformation is? There's videos of Rochelle Walensky saying exactly what I just said. And you don't get to say what's misinformation. I think a lot of the propaganda you all spew is dangerous misinformation too.

At this point ddb, why don't you just stop posting on this Thread?
It's obviously not something that you like.

The Current Affairs Board is better suited to deal with your concerns.

MA has a system up called Smart Health Card where you can download a picture containing a QR code and a list of your covid vaccinations. The QR code links to your entire vaccination record.
