Randle needs to play like Zach Randolph. A second option and let RJ feed him. It’ll open the game up for Julius. I prefer RJ as #1. I’d rather watch him struggle as #1 then Randle.

i think they're gonna lean more towards trading dame this summer rather then trying to add pieces. they're going nowhere and he wants a contract that will make him the highest paid player in the league.
Dame for AD is the perfect trade.
yep. i've had the same idea for a minute. but you gotta dump westbrook first because you can't have them together in the backcourt.

K-DOT wrote:Fun fact time:
Last year, RJ shot 41% on 4 catch-and-shoot 3s a game
This year, he's shooting 38% on 4.2 catch-and-shoot 3s a game
Why's his 3pt% so much worse, then?
Because last year he took 20 pull-up 3s and made 6 of them (30%, 0.3 a game), but this year he's already taken 41 pull-up 3s and made 10 of them (24.4%, 1.2 a game). So he's made almost twice as many pull-up 3s this year as last year, in less than half as many games
But he's not good at it, at least not yet
Bonus fun fact, in 2018 at the age of 26, Khris Middleton was taking 3.6 catch-and-shoot 3s a game and shooting 39% on them, while also taking 1.3 pull-up 3s a game and shooting 29% on them
So, to recap
RJ at 21: 38% on 4.2 c&s, 24% on 1.2 pull-ups
Middleton at 26: 39% on 3.6 c&s, 29% on 1.3 pull-ups.
Great stats, and love that he’s attempting more. Hopefully it leads to improvement.
Bonus stat…RJ is shooting 50% on pull-up 3s in his last 5 games

wonder if portland would even do that. he's younger but there's no proof that you can even make the playoffs consistently with ad as your best player. he's always hurt. he's not in great shape ever. his effort isn't consistent. i guess they won't get a better offer but still. they'll probably end up disappointed.

They may end up doing that. It'll be interesting to see what they do. If they keep him, they could be a good fit since they may be looking for whatever they can get for their expirings.....at least one can hope.

Nope, his game is so ball dominant and his three point shot is just gone from last season. He doesn't cut when he doesn't have the ball, he almost never spaces to the corner, he simply cannot get out the way of plays in which he doesn't have the ball constantly screening to get it back on the post. Everything about his offense is anti team game.
When the guards come back we'd be better with Obi, even with his broken shot just because he'll hustle, cut and defend.
Well he did. He had 2 very efficient years in LA and New Orleans where he rolled to the hoop and played smash mouth small ball center. AD was a good enough shooter, and he had a real PG in Jrue in NO.
The genie is out the bottle now, hard to go back to being a rollman when a coach has let you live out your LeBron dreams. Look at how much he's pouting now, imagine what that will look like when he's no longer the 1 or 2 option.
I don't disagree but reality is called reality because it's real. We paid a $10 million a year backup PF/C like a franchise guy and built a marketing campaign around fluke 40% 3 point shooting in empty arenas against the Milwuakee Flying Thannises. Who could have predicted this? besides me I mean, who predicted all of this.

Re: PG: RJ Tells Chanel: “Hold My Beer” while Randle Hangs Up His Spurs
Another example of how good things happen when RJ attacks and is aggressive. He is making plays offensively not just scoring. Ball movement is key for any team and especially for us. Randle killed that a lot this year but tonight he wasn't chucking up shots and forcing the issue offensively. If he moves the ball, recognizes the double coming without panicking and plays within the offense we can start to get back to last season's form bc I think the defense will come. They've been pretty solid on defense not anywhere near last year but better. The offense just goes cold.
Run the offense through RJ. He is playing well.
Last 7 games
22.1 PPG, 45.9% FG, 38.4% 3Pt, 5.4 RPG, 3.1 APG, 2.1 TO's

Love the story about the Swedish girls handing you a camera to take their picture and telling you to focus
You clearly misunderstood the latter

Zach Randolph could play like Zeebo in Memphis because his center was Marc Gasol who was money from 16 feet at the top of the free throw line.
Having Randle pound it in the post for 10 seconds with Mitch 10 inches from his colon won't work at all.

when RJ looks bad he looks really bad. forcing shots, which is what a lot of people hate about randle. however, when he's playing well, it's not because he's having an individually hot iso night. he plays team ball, plays with effort, and responds well to big moments (unlike mr. shrinkage with the contract)

they're still lottery-focused. randle is a durable player with an all-star berth under his belt, could put a few more butts in seats. perfect tank commander

Z-Bo was also a real post-up player.
Prime Z-Bo could abuse people in the post.
Randle, we don't know what he really is. He can do a lot of things, all of them inefficiently.

Taking on a more expensive player of the same age who isnt as talented as the one they got isnt something a lottery focused team does. They already got their big ticket player so they dont even need randle for that

LA has a power forward, that being said I'd take Westbricks almost expiring back and send Kembas corpse to match salary (maybe we'd have to send Burks also, Westbrick makes a ****).

Portland has Covington who's a better fit if Randle can't shoot anymore. I think we're in matching salary hell and they'd have to give up CJ to get Randle. Or maybe a mix of Covington and scrubs would work.
Pistons don't need another Jeremi Grant and they're tanking.
Philly could sure use 40% from 3 Randle. Standing around and playing off Embiid would be good for him if he can make stand still jumpers. Problem is Ben Simmons is the worst contract in basketball and they need all the other salaries to play for them.
Celtics makes a bunch of sense. We could eat Horfords turd and take some more dumpster salary to get Boston under the tax.
Wizards could send us Bertans corpse and a prospect, I'd be happy with that deal. Randles deal is negative but Bertans is really bad also.
