DON'T Blow it up, but maybe tank this year

Post#1 » by max powers » Sat Jan 8, 2022 11:25 pm

Don't blow it up, Tatum and Brown and to a lesser extent Timelord are great young talent to build around. The Raptors had Tmac and Vince Carter and got impatient (or maybe Vince did?) OKC had Durant, Harden and Westbrook and if they had kept that core would likely have had multiple championships by now. I'm okay with tanking, and trying different things this year. Trade Smart for best possible draft pick plus filler, trade Schroeder for best draft pick plus filler. Put Pritchard in as the starting point guard (he does better with talent around him) Richardson as the point with the second unit. No more Horford plus Rob lineups, Tatum should be at the 4 not the 3 ever. I want to see our starting line up of Pritch, Jaylen, Gwill, Tatum, Timelord. More catch and shoot Tatum which he did as a rookie and was extremely efficient. Gwill corner 3s. More 2 man game with Jaylen and Tatum our two best guys need to work together on plays, Pippen and Jordan weren't out there taking turns. There's lots of talent in this draft and a guy like Kendall Brown from Baylor if he lives up to his potential could help us tremendously going forward.

Did you mean to write both:
-- Tatum should never play at the 3?
-- Tatum should play alongside both Williamses at once?

I was thinking with Grant camped out in the corners he would probably be guarded by a 3 instead of a 4 in that lineup, I could be wrong. He does a decent job staying in front of 3s on defense.

Tanking is an excellent way to ensure the departures of Tatum and/or Brown.

Grant Williams needs to grab some rebounds before he's a starter.

There's no TANK in CELTICS.

We need a top 10 pick so we can draft a starter who can contribute. 10-15 can give u duds like Nesmith and Langford.
