Fantastic adjustment by Crowl under the hoop. Drew the contact, got the foul, made the bucket.

Unfortunately missed the free throw, but the rest :D

He's been really really good this year.

Another really solid win here and generally looked good doing it. Next game is @NW on Tues which should be an easy W to get to 15-2. Big home showdown with MSU next Fri . Seems Davis might have a little calf injury going on but shouldn't be serious.

Well, he's been good. He's either really really good or he's still unwatchable, but he's been really really good more often.

But don't jinx us!

Great win considering Davis was very off.

15.5/6/2 the last six games for Wahl. Not coincidentally, that would be our six-game win streak since the last OSU game.

Nice revenge game! Good to see other guys step up with Davis a little off.

We really needed a third scorer to emerge, and well… he did.

Yeah, thankfully so far his terrible games have coincided with huge Davis games. He was bad against Maryland, but at least hit a couple of clutch shots at the end.

Gard now with a .617 winning % in his first 120 Big 10 games coached. 10th all-time behind 7 dudes who coached in national title games, Gene Keady and Matt Painter.

Fire Gard imo.

I’m excited for the Elite 8 loss to a higher seed team after being up by 15 in the first half.

Thank you, Northwestern.

Are we sure MSU is good? Literally played no one in Big Ten yet

I, for one, am certain that MSU is not good. And have been for a few weeks now.

Breath of fresh air. He had a turd of a game.. and instead of pulling a Kobe King (or pick a non-Davison senior from last year) he kept at it and has had a hell of a stretch.

On a side note: Bring back the old transfer rules. Get rid of the transfer portal. Basketball was so much better to watch and the inmates didn't run the asylum. Ultimately, the kids will be better in the long run. There is something to be said about mental fortitude and development within a system. If the system is truly broken, then they can transfer (id change it so they retain their year of eligibility though after sitting out a season).

And yes, i know you'll toss the whole coaches dont have loyalty card out there. I get it. Some coaches truly suck too. Most coaches do stay around a decent amount of time.. if they aren't fired first.

They are not as good as some of our Final Four teams.. nor our elite 8 teams of about 10-15 years ago. But im having so much fun watching them play.

They're nowhere near as good as the back to back Final Four teams. We will most likely never see teams that good again at UW. They're probably as good as the elite 8 team from 04-05. Will probably take some luck to get to the elite 8 (like it did for the 04-05 team) or Davis just goes nuclear during the tournament.

They're better than the '05 team. That team beat Bucknell and a meh NC St team to get to the elite 8.

I just think the size of that team beats this one. Mike Williamson was really good.

Kam Taylor and Shariff weren't bad either. Brian Butch was pretty effective by his senior year too.

Talent back in 05 wasnt as watered down by the draft and kids transferring everywhere not learning a thing and looking to have their feelings massaged. If that team had Devin Harris.. they probably win the championship. Which is a very good comparison because next season we could be saying the same thing without Johnny Davis.... damn this team could win a championship.

I actually think the 05 team was better than the 00 final four team. But I think the 05 v 21 team would be a great game.. i love the comparison!
