Whatever you say Mr. Flip Flop. Stop derailing this thread. This is a thread about tanking.

This kid isn't capable of grasping complex facts. Its ok one day you'll figure it out. Secretly hoping for Scottie to fail so you can say the tank failed, team mediocre at its finest.

I demand to know this as well. Who said that?

Fred a top 10 point guard? Strange. I thought based on some of the members in this thread, he was a glorified bum. A stat padding shooting guard forced to play the role of a point guard. Did I miss anything? I think those are all the narratives.

Top 10 EVER.

Let's not elevate him to derozan levels just yet.

Not really.

Exactly. tWo is setting Scottie up for failure. Pascal was an All-NBA player who is averaging 21/8/5 on like 49% from the field.

Not good enough if he is our best player.
As number 2 or 3 those are fine numbers.
The point isn't that these aren't realistic expectations, they probably are. The point is going to be, how you can acquire the number 1.
And if you can't, you aren't going to win another championship.

Seriously? Siakam is playing like a borderline top 10 player lately, averaging 22/9/5 on 49/35/71 shooting splits with a 2:1 AST/TO ratio the last 2 months while being a great defender. He has went back to his strengths that largely got him that 2nd team All-NBA spot in 2019/20 with added playmaking to off-set his FT shooting woes a bit.
You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you think Scottie developing into a top ~20 player for multiple years isn't good enough. I know the point of tWo is to strike gold and find a generational talent that wins us multiple championships, but Siakam with Scottie's confidence and desire to be great is probably enough to push him into that top 10 range. How would that not be enough?

Well we don’t know that because if Scottie becomes as good as peak Pascal then you have two all-NBA players, one of the better point guards in the league and an uber efficient 15-18ppg scorer and stud defender in OG as your 4th best player. And who knows how good GTJ will be by then as well as whoever else we add to the roster.
